These are true May flowers the little waxy blossoms are very fragrant. They are not easy to find but they grow on a banking on the side of our road.
I just wished these lasted longer they are so vibrant.
Tuesday, I headed to Maine to hook with the Wells Me group.
What a fun group they are! And after hooking 9 of us went to the local steak house. (I had lobster pie). They are such a wonderful fun group.
And they have amazing talent too!!! This woman is matching fabric in her daughter's house.
And Nancy pulled her last loop on this David Galchutt pattern. The large owl in the middle head is 3D this rug is amazing in person!!!!
And Lorraine is working on this Cushing rug.
I stayed overnight with my partner in crime. First thing in the morning we had an eagle watching over us. Or more importantly he was looking for breakfast.
I tried my hand at some clay that air dries. After it dries, I will paint some of it. I have a bit of a plan for some of it I will tell you later.
For some reason this came out pinkish, but it is a white cotton wreath. I got a new light for the middle.
And a few cute little bees to put on it and now it feels a bit more like spring.
And speaking of spring husband made these bird houses on the garden tools and gave them to my sweet friends. Dayle in Vermont sent a picture of her new tenant.

Tomorrow is the first church sale of the season. I will not go first thing I will avoid the crowds. I got some nice craft supplies last year at this sale. Then we have a couple vintage fairs to go to not that we need not one thing. But it is fun to look. I have potatoes to plant and to steam and iron my rug.
Have a wonderful week.

I don’t think I even knew there was such a thing as a May flower.
I bet Donna and friends are a great group to hook with. So much talent. I truly admire and am in awe of anyone who hooks a Galchutt pattern.
A pair of eagles now have a nest a couple blocks from my house. It is fun trying to spot one.
What wonderful birdhouses hubby made. I bet your friends were thrilled.
Looking forward to what you will be doing with your clay creations.
Rugs and Pugs
You are one busy but fun gal! It's fun to gather with friends and enjoy like things and eat and laugh together. Those rugs are beautiful and that owl one is super amazing! I wish birds around here would nest in other places other than my deck and garage! With all our acres of trees they hang out near the house. Go figure! Have a great week and after the cold and snow you had this Winter I'm sure you're super enjoying the Sring!
I'd never attempt a Galchutt pattern, just too intense for me. The few realistic 3# rugs I've hooked was confirmation enough I can do it but I prefer to have my projects be fun for me. So if that is fun for her that's fantastic.
I love eagles and have seen some fly over but none in the woods near me.
Me thinks some of the clay pieces with be pendants.
Happy May Miss Cathy. Ours came in on ferocious winds. Surprise...not. Wow...those are some beautifully ambitious rugs! Those are some talented and gifted ladies. I'm anxious to get back to the lake to see what our eagles are up too and whether they've filled their nest outside our door with littles again. Have fun on your shopping...er, looking...adventures. There were a few garage sales in our little neck of the woods last weekend but I had someplace to be so didn't stop... I told myself I'd go the next day but it was so windy and rainy, the agoraphobic hermit in me won out. ~Robin~
This time of year is always a time that rejuvenates me, with all the blossoms and trees turning green, hard not to feel good. The hook in sounds fun and a lot of beautiful rugs. I haven't painted pottery since I was younger, looks like a fun project. That bird house is really creative and fun.

Those waxy white flowers in the first picture are so sweet. Talking of sweet...those rugs are quite amazing! As are the cute birdhouses your husband made.
Amazing work done by those women! The owl piece is incredible!
Spring has landed for you! I wonder if those white flowers are trailing arbutus? We have them at the lake but I never get up in time to see them before they are gone. It sounds like a wonderful time with your friends. I love seeing all the beautiful creations. Well done, all!
Happy May to you!~
your rug photos are gorgeous...that Galchut is phenomenal!!
loverly little May flowers, too.
:)
Lori
We have mayflowers here but they are hard to find indeed. Such a gift to have them growing near you! And the hooking group is wonderful- as are their mats!
Sheepunderfeet
I didn't know there were May flowers either. You sure do have lots of beautiful plants and flowers out there. I know you are glad it is springtime!
Love your rugs.
I once had a garden tool birdhouse, until I saw a snake going up into it. Made me sad that it was going to get either the eggs or the birdies. I got rid of it. Now I have my birdhouses on shepherds poles. That first rug is so amazing and I just loved the colors of it. Your new light looks sweet and I wish I could taste some of that lobster pie. I bet it was good. Janice
I haven't found any May flowers around here but I'm probably not looking in the right places. I've never heard of a lobster pie. It sounds intriguing. I love lobster and I love pie so I think that I would like to try a piece.
You sure have a great group of friends and your life is never boring.
Your rug is amazing.
Take care,hugs.

crafting with like minded friends is so fun...i have a great group of girls i knit with!! i like the rustic birdhouse your husband made, i'm glad your friends have a family nesting in it!! lobster pie, yum...lobster is a favorite of mine!!
the hooking is gorgeous!!
Looks like a fun time with friends and good food too. The birdhouse is very nice and what a great way to recycle tool handles! yes, May has finally brought some flowers blooming here as well.
Air-dry clay? I can't wait to hear how that goes, Cathy. Do you ever watch The Great Pottery Throwdown? Hubby and I love it! I agree on the yellow. I wish they lived longer. Very cool on the get-together.
There is a lot of talent in your group! Those owls are incredible. I hope you tell/show what you find at the sale.
