Spring

Little pansy faces...

As you can see things are pretty bare
but things are popping!

Sunny sweet faces...

We have many ups and downs as far as weather.
From 80's to 40's but things are getting green.

And sweet smelling.

Yellows....

I bought some wool lately why I am not sure why as I am
hooking very little right now.

My daughter got this at a yard sale for 50 cents it is Susan Branch's newest one and only a year old.

And I found this sweet little book.

The pages are pictures of felted wool so sweet.
I hope you are all enjoying spring I have heard of snow in the west

Gifts

So I promised to show you what my sweet hooking friend
Donna made for me! the larger piece is a zippered bag for my hooks etc. the little book in the front holds needles, safety pins, etc. and she even made the card!

And this amazing basket!!! she has more talent in her
little finger than I do in my whole body.

 hil

While at the hook in a lady named Faith gave each of us this
little mouse pincushion. She hand made each of them. So sweet I couldn't believe it how kind of her.

Then we have a wonderful gift bag swap and I got this!
another great basket and paper napkins. How lucky I am!

Last weekend a friend treated me to breakfast at a
wonderful place with all kinds of homemade bread.
We got talking about annadama bread. They didn't have any
sooo tonight I am making some, I will let you know how it comes out.

I am reading this book. It is about a boy who went into the woods of Maine
at 20 and was finally caught when he was 47.
It is true and very interesting Anyone else read it yet?
****
We are in the cold rainy weather after a couple of days of warm wonderful weather. I hope this turns everything green and summer like.
Have a great week.

Another Easter In The Books...

It was so warm that all the candy melted! First time this ever happened. Way to hot almost 90 but tonight 47 no happy medium. I will need to rethink the egg hunt for next year.

This would be the gang my daughter is 2nd in on the left 3rd row her husband right in front of her and our sweet B on the top in the pink dress. Husband in the middle white shirt. Of course this was at the end of the day when we were all tired and hot.

My daughter, son in law, and B slept over the night before so we gave her parents a break and took her to the local school to the play ground. As you can see she loved it!
I hope your Easter was wonderful
I am off to watch some tv and might pick up the hooking again.

The Week Before Easter

So finally today the weather broke! we have had snow, rain, mix and we haven't seen the sun since who knows when. It is going to get better the next two days. So since I was having spring fever I hit the porch with a soapy bucket and put all the cushions back on the chairs.
Ahhhhhh heaven.

Easter is on the way and we have a large gathering with an egg hunt thrown in. My Miss B has a lop eared bunny (not this one)and she is convinced he is the Easter bunny! I love that so much when they believe so fully.

I have been cleaning and trying to get the winter dust out of the corners, the one thing I am not good at cleaning is the oven. My oven is a working oven and always going I cook all the time!
Well I tried the baking soda thing nope now we are using the self clean. I hate using it, it scares me how hot it gets. So I cleaned what I could and it is doing it's thing yikes!
****
A busy week ahead we have my daughter, son in law and Miss B over night the night before Easter we play games eat great food and really enjoy each other.
So cleaning and cooking in my future!
Happy Easter!
