Trying To trust The Journey

Today after work it was light enough for me to get a walk in!
So excited for a walk after working 9+ hours. It is so good for the soul.
On Sat I went to see my sweet 93 year old aunt and take her to breakfast. She makes me smile with her no nonsense view of things. We should all be so wise. On the way up her road I find a huge flock of turkeys really there were twice as many on the side of the road I didn't get a picture of.

Some of my facebook friends saw this last week but Miss B came and built me a snowman. He still is keeping and eye on Pepe and I
just waiting for her to return.
I was flipping through a magazine and look at the description of this???

I still haven't picked up a hook yet my friend is still gravely ill. It is so hard for me. She needs prayers.

On another note I will be seeing a friend I haven't seen in 20+ years this week. We were so close we did everything together but life happened and we lost touch. Over the past year on facebook we reconnected and she is here to see her sick brother. While she is here she is going to stay with us I am excited and nervous.
She was closer to me than either of my sisters. Life can be so harsh.

Stay patient and trust the journey

New Bling....

Yep new silverware! I don't think I have purchased new silverware
Since  I was first married and that was a good long time ago.
It felt nice to clean out the old odds and ends.

I had some major stomach issues this week, not a virus but I am on
antibiotics and was on a liquid diet for 2 days. So I pulled out my cookbooks and put markers in pages I want to get back to, crazy I know.

I still don't have a rug on my frame so I am going
to read this, it is silly and if you have read one you have read them all. But it makes me laugh out loud and that is just what I need right now.

One of my friends is gravely ill and I haven't had
much sleep and I am glued to the phone waiting for up dates
If you have an extra prayer please send it her way.

I made husband some shrimp dip and a birthday cake
to take to his pool buddies, so he is out playing pool at a friend's house. I am happily tucked in for the night with tea and fresh banana bread. Miss B is coming tomorrow to cheer me up. I can't wait!

A Little Bits...

I got this picture on pintrest but it shows really shows what
it is like here. We have been rainy and 30's all day and now we have so much fog you can't see across the driveway. I am chilled to the bone. Thank goodness for the wood stove husband just started.

I just can't put my Christmas village away yet. I love looking at it, such a
happy peaceful little village.

These are my mom's sisters, my sweet aunts
The beautiful one on the left with the white hair
will be 93 next Tuesday. She had a cold last week and said she didn't crochet for 2 days, "So you know I have been sick!" I aspire to be like her.
She is independent and feisty! She took me to my first art class when I was a kid and bought me my first barbie. I love talking to
her on the phone she makes me smile with her view of the world.
And yes she is up to date with what is going on in the word.

I am dreaming of the retreat on star island again
and trying to come up with a pattern of a picture I took
that I would love to hook. I have never drawn my own pattern so I am a bit over whelmed by it.
I have a hook in coming up this month so I have to get something
on the frame soon.

Stay warm my sweet friends

Brrrrrr

We are cold like most of the East. I spent the day packing up the last of the Christmas decorations. I just can't pack my snowman yet.

This would be the last Birthday party of the for Miss B. She has had more than her share. She had lots of her school friends over for lots of fun. Her theme was bunny and my daughter did a great job of making it very cute and lots of fun.

We missed the last snow that came though yeah!
But we are so cold I am still in my pjs watching a little football to see who the Patriots will play next.
I have no plans to go out. today but I may take a shower and change into clean pjs :)
I have to get a rug going soon!

Sweet Blessings

I wish I could say I haven't posted because I was busy creating. But not true I haven't even got a book I am involved in, very rare for me.
I have been working on reorganizing and cleaning out. Still more to do but it looks better already.

The news oh the news is more than I can take. We usually only listen to our local station but today oh today how sad.
I get very weepy thinking about it. I will not get into the gun argument but I grew up with them, we all did. My grandfather made his living as a Maine hunting guide. My family all hunted there was never any misuse of guns in our very large family. So what is the answer?
I always feel safe in our little corner of the world but then I hear that 40 minutes from us in a very small town with historic homes there was a guy trying to break into homes. He had drugs on him and maybe he chose there because the houses are spread out just like my neighborhood. The one thing about our neighborhood, we are on a dead end road and the retired couple down the street see all! God Bless them!

We have a clear cold sky tonight just right for star watching.
The moon is just amazing. So for just tonight I will count my blessings and pray for those in Florida.....
