Oh These Old Bones

47 degrees and rain today.

There are signs that things are coming alive.
The blooms are getting ready to pop any time!
The first church sale of the season was pretty good. These new boots will fit my daughter and for 10.00 a steal!
A few craft supplies for a few dollars
An air fryer that looks like it was never used for 5.00! Now to figure out how to use it! I do have the books that go with it.

The clay leaves I made last week. I painted them and .....
Hung them on my shade pulls.

I finished one of my towels that will cover up my mixer.

I tried avocado toast on whipped ricotta. Just ok maybe I will mash it next try.

Since it is a rainy day and I have been hauling compost, weeding and spreading said compost I thought I would give my poor old bones a rest today. And since I haven't had time to make cookies, I had this dry bar I got in my goodie bag at the hook in in last weekend. Sometimes it is good to have a rainy day now and then.
Have a great week!

We are at 36 degrees and it snowed most of the afternoon, which was not forecast. The snow was supposed to stay in the mountains. Go figure. The first meme on this post really resonates with me today. Wow, you got some great stuff for very little $$$ at the church sale. Good job. We love yard/estate/church sales and thrift stores! Those clay leaves are great. What a fun addition to your shade pulls. I hope you have a very nice week. See you again soon!

How cool your leaves look as the pulls. Hope your air fryer works well, I have one but sure isn't as pretty as yours, mine's just black and silver.
Was thinking about something I learned from your blog and wonder if you still make your own sprouts for salads. After reading about it on your blog I made my own for a couple years and got tired of them. Still make them but now in moderation.

I love your leaves! They are so pretty and what a great way to use them. I have 2 air fryers and they came with no books so I only have used the small one for reheating a few things. I know lots of folks love them and use them for everything. I think I just need a tutorial or something. It was a good sale though and I do enjoy a rainy day when a rest is needed! I thought we'd get one this weekend but the rain stayed up in Cleveland area and we were just warm and slightly humid. Enjoy your week Cathy!

Love how you used your leaves! Satisfying thrift session - that's always fun.

You aced that sale! I love the leaves you made -- gorgeous! I might have to give those a try one day. I like how you are using them. And the spring blooms are looking fine indeed. Happy week!

Nice scores! Love the boots. Good luck with the air fryer. I got one a while back...it's a bit different than most I've seen out there as it doesn't have the big basket on the bottom but a smaller circular tube-like basket. Not sure I'm thrilled with it yet and probably should have stuck with the conventional model. So far it really hasn't done much more for me than I could do with my little Pizza Pizzaz. I'll be looking forward to seeing what creative things you come up with using it. Do share! Love your little leaves. Creative idea! ~Robin~

I hope you'll find lots of ways to use your air fryer; we sure do.
I think the clay leaves that you painted are awesome! And hanging them on the shade pulls is a great way to display them.

My husband and I got a good laugh out of your May joke. It is raining, but it MAY change to snow tonight. I miss stitched dishtowels. Everyone made them when I was a kid. Now you never see them. I embroidered a few myself, but then found quilting. Maybe I will have to pick it back up. Nice finds. Love the boots. I don't even have a microwave, so I don't think an air fryer is in my future.

The joke about May is so true, but thankfully the cold weather and snow is gone, not so the rain. What great finds at the church sale and sure your daughter will like the boots next winter😉

Your Azelia is in bloom already, mine are just in buds still. I've been digging Daylilies to give away and I'm so glad that one of my hooking friends took them off my hands. I'm trying to pare down on my yard work.

Great haul from that church sale. I'm sure that you'll come up with some exciting meals with the air fryer. I still haven't tried one yet.

Your leaves turned out lovely and useful.
Hugs, Julia

Your towel turned out amazing. Another lost art it seems. My mom made embroidered pillowcases and dresser scarves for all of the bedrooms in her home. Our lilac is just starting to bud. You did good at the church sale too. Janice

You got some great finds at your church sale - how often do they do that?
Love your leaves and how you used them.
I mash my avocados - and put a little olive oil instead of ricotta cheese.
I love your towel too!
