Still Wintering?

We have been in the clouds for a very long time. So the sunshine felt so nice on this chilly day.

We are now half way between winter and spring. January was snowy I shoveled a lot but not as cold as usual. I am ready for spring I got a new gardening magazine yesterday made me want spring even more.

My neighbor was so sweet and dropped off a colorful plant last week I will enjoy it until spring does come.
I spent some time in my rug room on the cloudy days. Trying to figure out bacbackground.

Even though I have all this amazing wool I don't think I have the right color.

I also attacked my closet this is how it started....

And while I am not done yet I am pleased with how it is going.

While cleaning out I found a stair riser I worked on and forgot about.
It is time to put my feet up for the evening, a very productive day! (My favorite purchase a frother for my coffee cream)
Have a wonderful week!

Am envious of your uncluttered hooking room and love the newly found UFO of white birch winter.

I’m with you- seems like the perfect colour for what I envision is not on my bins. Your shelves are gorgeous though. Doesn’t the frother turn coffee up several notches? Sheepunderfeet

I want a frother too!
Say your rug room is so incredibly organized - it was amazing.
Say the bright flowers in yellow cheered me up too!

I don't have a lot of wool like you but I know getting just the right color is always a problem. The only way to get the color you want is to dye or over-dye your own wool or buy some more wool. YoI'm admiring your neat wool shelves. You have a perfect set-up. I like your stair riser.

I'm looking forward to spring. Our neighbors to the East of us, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island are buried in snow. Nova Scotia has had 59 inches of snow since Friday, almost 5 feet of snow.

Yellow flowers brighten up the gloom of winter.
Take care.
Hugs,
Julia

Your wool colors are amazing. I dont have that much and now I have to order online as there are no shops close to purchase from. I use to stock up at the prim show we vended but stopped when covid hit and the show folded. Love your stair mat. Janice

You definitely have way more snow than we do. Today we were almost to 50ยบ...and sun to boot. Unheard of in Nod this time of year. Fingers crossed though that we don't "make up" for it in March and April. They can sometimes be our snowiest times. Your wools are all so neat and tidy...as is your closet. Wanna come help me??? Is that one photo of a gravestone in the little cemetery on your walk? Your hooking is so precise and even...After all my years of hooking, I haven't managed to accomplish that. Enjoy the new week ahead. I hope it is filled with more sunshine for you. ~Robin~

No matter how much wool a person has, you never have the right color!!!
It is such a good feeling to get the wool organized. Too bad it never lasts!
What a beautiful stair riser you found hooked and ready to be bound! How many did you end up hooking? I can't remember if you attached them to the stairs or that is a project that has not yet happened.

I'm impressed with your organized closet! Isn't it rewarding to get things looking all neat and tidy??!!
Those gardening magazines make me want to get outside and DO SOMETHING but I think the ground is still frozen (although the snow is all gone).
