The Ballet

Good Morning! It has been a very busy few days.
I don't have many pictures, but I had lots of fun.

Our Thanksgiving was our normal quiet, I walked in the morning, and we had steaks on the grill in the afternoon. We watched the parade and did nothing! Friday and Sat back to work. The roads were ice covered from the rain the night before, so I had a slow start, but I got in and decorated our store window. It came out pretty good and then Saturday I decorated the ice cream store next to me window.

Sunday bright and early I headed to my daughter's for a day of shopping, and the nutcracker ballet. My grand is going on toe shoes this year and she had never seen professional dancers perform the nutcracker. This was in Portland Maine and what a fantastic job! On the walk out of the theater my daughter was talking to a woman who had been to Boston, and she said this was a better performance of it, yikes! But that made me happy. We had just the most special day.  spending the day with them is the most special gift. When we got back to my daughter's house my grand talked on the phone to her grandfather for a long time about her day.
****
Today I am pulling out my Christmas things and starting to decorate.
My daughter has her house looking so festive it gave the boost to get some things out.
Have a great day!

It's beginning to sound a lot like Christmas in your house.

What a great picture of you and your girls. Miss B. is almost as tall as you. and so pretty.

I'm glad you had a lovely time with your girls watching the Nutcracker ballet.

Your decorated window looks great. I used to make paper chains to decorate the tree when the kids were young.

Our snow is all gone and it has been raining all night.
Take care and stay warm and safe.
Hugs,
Julia

It sounds like a wonderful time. I like the idea of steaks instead of turkey. We did chicken quarters. Everyone liked it better.
The nutcracker sounds so nice. We have that here too.
I have started decorating but not as fast as when I had kids at home. Now I take my time.
Have a lovely week.

Looks wonderful - I know you loved being with family - I was in Ohio last week myself.
I bet your home looks all decked out for Christmas.

Your window display looks wonderful!!! They sure are going to miss you ;-)
What a fun time Miss must have had at the ballet. Great picture of 3 generations. You look terrific. All that walking is paying off.
I am knee deep in Christmas boxes. I will never learn that less is more!

How fun to spend that special time with your daughter and Miss B! I bet she'll be dancing in the Nutcracker soon herself! Your window looks fabulous. I knew it would! It sounds like it was a great day. I think steak is a much better dinner than turkey. Next year I think we're going to do ribs! I finally got all my fall and Thanksgiving decor away and I'll get the Christmas stuff up soon. Just have to get my rear in gear and get it done! Have a good week!

That sounds like a special day, I do miss going to holiday events, but still trying to stay out of crowded places. The store window looks wonderful, love seeing the stores in our town during the holidays. I was reading your older posts, so sad about the woman and so young, it is so dangerous to hike up there in the colder months.

What a great picture of your beautifully decorated window. I love being able to take a peek inside the store. What a wonderful picture of the three of you. I can't think of a better way to spend time together than to watch the Nutcracker.
