Our weather has been cold and very windy.
This is not a great picture but the brook I walk by is starting to freeze.
We got stickers for our big window no bird hits so far.
The bird whisper (my husband) saved that bird we thought that was dead from hitting the window. He wrapped it in some cotton rag we had and tucked it in a little space out of the wind and cold and the next day gone. And no sign of something getting it.
Still working on my Winter window for the store. I made this today.
I did fix it up a bit after this picture but oh the youtube made it look so easy. It wasn't hard but so much work!
Our beautiful mountains have taken another young life.
A young woman wanted to hike several peaks in a day she was so under prepared. The morning she headed out was very cold and gale force winds especially on the mountains. They have been searching for her for 3 days. We had black hawk helicopters circling so very sad. Our mountains are not the tallest in the world or even in the United States but because of how they are situated they have the world's worst weather. Many people have underestimated them and have paid the ultimate price. My heart goes out to her family, she would have turned 20 today.
Happy Thanksgiving my sweet friends
may you find joy and peace.

So sad about that hiker. Here in Utah, several people each year lose their lives in hiking or rock climbing accidents, or avalanches. Usually it is younger people who die in such accidents. All very sad. I hope that you and yours have a peaceful and enjoyable Thanksgiving. See you again soon.
The window decoration you have made looks lovely but complicated.
How very sad about the young girl, the weather can never be taken for granted
Great window decorations we need to get something for our wall of windows-once in awhile a bird will hit it hard.
so sad about the hiker-some just aren't prepared for such a hike especially this time of year going into winter.
Happy Thanksgiving
I had a feeling the bird might have been stunned and glad I mentioned that. Doubt it was my comment which had an affect on it tho. So sad about the hiker; mother nature can be very fierce at times.
Happy Thanksgiving, my friend.
How sad about the hiker. Young people think they are invincible. (I vaguely remember those days!) My heart breaks for her family. Life will never be the same for them.
How sad for the family of that young lady to have lost their daughter a day short of her 20th birthday and before Thanksgiving and Christmas. What a tragedy.
Your window decoration looks like a lot of work. I love paper snowflakes and used to make them when the kids were young. I'd love to see the window decorated. You always come up with beautiful decorations every year.
I'm so glad the little bird survived with the care of your husband. The little bird must have knocked itself out.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Hugs,
Julia
When you're young you think you're invincible. So sad for her family. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving day and I think your window display will look great! We had nice warmish weather this past week but the cold is sure to return soon. The wood stove will be humming along then! Have a good weekend Cathy!
So very sad about the hiker. What a tragic loss. You must share your finished window display. Hope you and your family had a nice Thanksgiving! Janice
Your mountains are beautiful, but should be respected. I am so sorry for this family's loss. I love your snowflake; wish I could see the window when completed.
