Happy Transplant Day!

This is my husband the day he came home from having a bone marrow transplant. He had been in the hospital for a month and could not wait to get home!11 years have ticked by, and a lot of life has been lived and we are so grateful for the Dr's and his brother who saved his life.
Blessings we have many!

Congradulations to your husband. My husband had an allo transplant almost 3 years ago ( MDS) and is doing great. The GVH is a problem the first year but the team will be watching him. My husband spent a month too in the hospital. Routine. I on the other hand had a Auto transplant in 2006( Myeloma). and am doing well. There is a huge difference between an allo and an auto. I was only in the hospital 20 days and GVH wasn't an issue.
Well, best to your husband and tell him to hang in there.

I'm so happy your hubby is doing well and that makes this celebration a joyous one! Those 11 years went fast and I wish you both many more times in the future! My sister will be needing a kidney transplant and hopefully will be on the list in the new year.

I would have never known it was already 11 years since David's bone marrow transplant. I remember well all the worries and precautions and living day by day. This is such good news. He's been doing so well and has had the opportunity to be a grandfather to Miss B.and see her grow into a beautiful young lady. It's time for a big celebration.

Hugs, 🎂🎉 😊
