Spring Joy

I finished the spring clean up.
We have had warm lovely days and days so cold and windy I have had to dig out my winter down coat! Spring in New England.
My Egyptian walking onions still are going strong.

And my rhubarb you can almost see it growing. It always makes me hopeful that summer will come.

On my walk today I saw this poor broken tree by the river. Still being useful growing fungus.

And our sweet little grand dog trying to keep track of both of us while we are outside. She is one tired dog at the end of her day, we almost have to carry her upstairs to go to bed lol.
The French onion bread is so good.
I froze a chunk for later use.

It was the full pink moon on Tuesday night. On our evening walk the sky had a pink tingh made for a great picture.
I also watched the meteor showers Monday and Tues night.
I hope you are taking time to look up and all around at the beauty of spring.

I am off to hook for the day Sat. It will be nice to see people I haven't seen in awhile.
Have a wonderful week.

Things look great - I love rhubarb (but I’m the only one😊 - more for me!) and I’ve never heard of Egyptian onions, but I’ll have to find them - along with garlic, onions are a favorite. You’re so right - take time to enjoy the simple things.

I have always loved and grown rhubarb but it doesn't seem to like this Missouri soil or climate-I want to try it again though.
I missed the meteor shower but the full moon has been amazing-last night just huge over the lake.
we are in for rain early this morning-we'll see last one moved out of our area.
Enjoy your hooking

Our rhubarb is up early this year. We look forward to our first meal though we just finished the last of last year’s lot. Have a great visit with the hookers.

Your onion bread did look good.
The pink moon was so pretty.
I do know you are thrilled that your plants are coming out and hiding - bet the dog loves to be outside with you.
Have fun hooking!

My daffodils are also blooming and my rhubarb is also growing. I usually have so much. rhubarb that I give away a lot to friends. My favorite rhubarb recipe is Rhubarb Custard Meringue dessert. The recipe is available online.

I bought a small pot of Egyptian onions and I pulled them all out for some reason. I think it's because they were spreading in my garden, and my garden needed to be tilled. Honestly, I forgot the reason, but I remeember that they had small onions growing at the top of the plants. A pretty cool plant.

It's been sunny, cold and windy these last two days. Have fun at your hook-in.
Hugs, Julia

I'm still cleaning out flower beds but I have mowed 3 times and will mow again today. It's not raining but it is chilly. The warm weather comes tomorrow but brings those April showers with it. I hope you have a fun weekend hooking with friends! That bread looks really yummy too. I'm sure your kids feel good knowing that their furry family member is getting exercise and good care while they are away!

No rhubarb for me (funny, it is an absolute favorite with my entire family...one more reason they claim my mum and dad brought home the wrong baby from the hospital). My daffodils are blooming and I was anxiously waiting for my tulips but a fluffle (or two or three) of rabbits have moved in and made short work of them. Oh how I miss my Snowdog. They kept their distance when he was around. The moon's been gorgeous here too..but I didn't see any meteor showers (wasn't aware there were to be any). I'm always looking up...too much so as it has been known to cause a good many injuries LOL. Have fun hooking and catching up! ~Robin~

Am hankering for some rhubarb anything right now. Our daffodils are just blooming here now and so is our flowering pear. We did have some flakes fly around last Saturday and frost yesterday. I Thought it was Spring. Mother Nature says otherwise. Have fun hooking and look forward to seeing more fantastic rugs. Janice

That Onion bread looks so good. I must look up a recipe and make some. Our rhubarb is growing but isn't big enough to pull yet. We had some given to us and hopefully we'll get more.
You got a good shot of the Pink Moon. I wasn't aware of a meteor shower.
Have a lovely time hooking on Saturday.

That onion bread did look delicious, Cathy, and yes the ups and downs of weather lately and I also wore a winter coat earlier this week on a couple of mornings.
