WINNER WINNER!

We have had so much ice. I got up early and did some sanding on our very steep driveway.

I have been going through old cookbooks some were my mom's. Just seeing her handwriting make miss her all the more.

I tried this recipe and it is a keeper! I cut it in half as there is just two of us.

If you try it let me know if you liked it.

I also made some bread this week.
And these muffins were made to use up a couple of things that needed to be used. Banana muffins with a cup of fresh cranberries. Husband loves them.
I met up with my sweet friend on Saturday. It has been a long while since we got together. We shopped the thrift store and then went for a wonderful long lunch heaven ♡ the company, the food, and the view was perfect.

I got a chance to put out some of my vintage valentines.

Love that first photo!

Banana muffins are a staple in this house. The cranberries add a nice tartness!

What a lucky winner of your giveaway and what a nice thing for you to prepare and send it, Cathy. How fun that you are both named the same with a different first letter๐Ÿ˜‰Those muffins look good to me as well and since we have dried cranberries and some oranges, it might be time for muffin baking here as well. The vintage hearts look wonderful as well. We had about a 2-inch snowfall on Sunday.

Your food looks delicious but I'm finding since my husband has sold the cattle and is semi-retired, I no longer have to feed the hired hands, and I'm baking less and less. However, I made an apple Crisp yesterday as I had to use some apples but I'm finding that I seem to always go back to the old recipes for some reason. lol...

Congratulations to Kathy on winning your generous giveaway.

Stay safe and well.
Hugs,

Julia

Congratulations to Kathy on a sweet win! And thank you, Cathy, for the generous giveaway. The ice isn't fun...but it sure is pretty in your photo. I'll definitely be trying the stuffed shells. I've just sorta lost my mojo for everything lately. I'm completely out of baked goods, but just can't seem to get motivated to do or make anything. I'm trying to talk myself into making a tortilla de patatas as I have been craving one for a while but.... Always that "but." Your muffins sound interesting...I'd have never thought to combine bananas and cranberries. ~Robin~ (And your mom's "Clinton Cookies" sound yummy too!) ~Robin~

PS.....your Valentine display is adorable. I have a LOT of vintage/antique Valentines but, unfortunately, do real place to display them.

Congrats to your winner, Kathy. I sorta love that name! Your vintage Valentines look so cute in that cupboard space. I can't believe January is over tomorrow. Not that I'm complaining because it just brings us closer to Spring! Your food looks really good and I'm thinking I should make some bread. Problem is I would eat most of it! Sanding an icy driveway is not fun and I hope you stay safe and no falls! Have a good week!
