Color Choices

I started lady liberty and I need your help. I started hooking her like a person but should it be like the statue?
****
We had about 10 inches of snow then about 2 inches of rain so you can imagine what a heavy mess it was! Then there were high winds thankfully we kept the power on.

As you know husband has been sick since before Christmas. Well very long story short he has pneumonia. He is on antibiotics and finally starting to feel better. Fingers crossed
Since I haven't been anywhere or done anything that is it for me.
Blogger is having issues when I go to comment on my own blog it comes up as anonymous crazy.
Don't forget to put your name in for my giveaway here.
Have a wonderful week!

I like color, so I say, like a person not statue. And, truthfully, Lady Liberty, her premis is life...she brings a new life to those who seek it here.

She could be either as there is a statue of the Lady in New York. It appears you see her as a person since you started her that way so continue with the theme. Glad your husband is on the mend. Guess those pneumonia shots are as effective as covid shots. Even if you get the shot it doesn't protect one from the illness.
All rain here so far but with the upcoming storms coming this way there could be some white stuff in the mix

Hmmmm....I think she could go either way...there's the Statue of Liberty and there's Lady Liberty. Loving the reds and blues you've chosen so you're not going to go wrong either way. Winter has arrived here in Nod as well...we've had 3-4" of snow every day now for the past several days and it has added up and we're to get a major storm starting tomorrow morning with another 6-12" and winds of 45+mph...then a plunge into the deep freeze. I heard -27ยบ on Monday. Ick, ick, ick. More soup on the menu. Hope the groceries hold out because I'm not going anywhere. Poor hubby...he can't seem to kick the crud. Hopefully the antibiotics will do the trick although what is going around is tough to get rid of. After all the kidney infections, etc. and ecoli, I got some kind of cold/flu. That was right after Christmas and I am still not to rights. Wishing him healing and speedy recovering. Stay safe and warm...and busy. ~Robin~

Hi Cathy, is this your own design? I can't advise you but I'm looking forward to seeing how you hook her.

Our rain has stopped here and we have grey skies. I hope your husband gets better soon. Some people are prone to pneumonia after they had it once. My mother was like that. Speedy recovery to David.
Hugs.

Not sure about the color since I don't do this craft but I know you'll figure out what you like and it will be great. I hope your hubby is completely well soon and you stay healthy! So many of our family members got Covid this Christmas but so far Jack and I are good. We're getting some snow tomorrow. We've had mostly rain but the super cold is coming tomorrow night. Oh well, it's January!

Still no real winter weather here in northern Ohio (no complaints from me!) but frigid temps are on the way.
Hopefully hubby is getting better each day.

I'm so sorry your husband is dealing with pneumonia and relieved that he is finally on the right meds and improving. That's terribly worrying. We're due for 10" of snow over the next day or so. I hope they're wrong. (It's started.)

I like the way you’re hooking her- as a person.
I hope your husband recovers soon. It’s frustrating
when you’ve not gotten a diagnosis, but now that
he has…. We’re expecting a whack of snow here in
NB today so I am digging out the snowshoes!

Thankfully the doctors found out what the problem was and now your husband can recover.
My sugar/orange zest is an ongoing project here. Smells great.

Grateful your hubby is on the mend. That bug that's going around has really knocked quite a few people out for at lest 2 weeks...and the cough just lingers...
Daylight is beginning to return...Spring isn't far off....hang in there! :-)
I like flesh tone for this Lady Liberty... statue color might make her look sick?

I hope your husband recovers. Not a fun way to start the new year. I'm afraid I can't help you with colors. My husband chooses the colors for my quilts as I get frustrated.

Sorry to read that your husband is ill, Cathy, and hope he will be feeling better soon with the meds taking effect. Also, hope that you remain well. You had more snow than we did as there were only snow squalls this weekend and the recent snowfall is gone now, however, there is a chance of a few inches later this week. Sorry, I am not really helpful with color choices as purple and reds are my favorites and might not be best choices for Lady Liberty.
