Snowy Sunday
Calls for an afternoon cup of coffee.
Watching the awful game and knitting slippers. I have been knitting these slippers since 8th grade the sad thing is I never progressed.
I am going to make a few for a basket next to the door incase someone wants to use them.
Christmas decorating done.
I have one more batch of cookies to bake.
The cookie walk was a success. I just have a couple of friends to deliver to.
I made some old fashion molasses cookies that were a flop. So what to do? Crumble them up mix with cream cheese roll into balls and dip in white chocolate. Voila a Christmas truffle.
I will leave you with my 3.00 thrift store find.Galileo thermometer. The bubbles have a temp and the lowest one tells what the room temp is.
Just something fun.

I used to be a fantastic knitter of sweaters, particularly Icelandic style where the colors change with wonderful designs. Also did cable knit, popcorn stitches, and now my fingers don't move like the used to due to arthritis. One thing I NEVER mastered was making socks as much as I tried. Good luck to your knitting.
I love your vintage Christmas village. You've been a very busy baker. I baked 4 pumpkin pies for a large Christmas party and 2 for the family on the weekend and it seems that I've been baking an awful lot lately for our community.
It's Christmas party time. I had to miss the annual Family Christmas party on Saturday in my hometown and I won't leave my hubby alone for several days I was on kitchen duty for a private large Christmas dinner party Saturday evening. On Wednesday, our Christmas Luncheon with our hooking guild, and in the evening a pot-luck supper with our Evening Matters hooking group, then, on Thursday another Christmas party with my husband's men's group. I feel tired already. Enjoy your special time with Miss B.
Hugs, Julia
I love your Christmas village, and all of your cookies look delicious. Looks like you have a lot more snow than we do. Fortunately we got quite a bit of snow in the mountains this weekend. I hope you have a great week. See you again soon!
Love your cardboard village. You have so many fun buildings lit to perfection.
You can knit more than I can...lol ;-)
I used to have a Galileo thermometer like that. I wonder what happened to it?
Enjoy your time with Miss B.
Lol... I even forgot about this coming Sunday, our Church woman's group are having a Christmas party potluck. I'm going to put on weight. 😜

Those cookies look fabulous! Would love to try the truffles. Good luck with the slippers.
I like how you took the cookies that didn't turn out and made them into Christmas Truffles! I imagine they taste great. Your other cookies all look delicious too.Yum.
Have a good week.
Mixed with the cream cheese they do smell great.
Great idea with the slippers by the door. I love how you used the unpopular cookies. Waste not…
Look at you crushing the Christmas season! Knitting slippers is a great idea. I am a NOT knitter..that means I can NOT knit! My hubby would get a kick out of that thermometer. Great find! Way to make lemons out of lemonade. Or really truffles out of messed up molasses! We had snow in Cleveland but not here. We're about an hour from the snow belt. Just a few flakes. I'm good with that! Have a good week. I'm finally done decorating too and will have to get my blog brain going!
I have Make Cookies on the calendar for next week. With kitchen torn apart right now difficult to even make dinner. I'm defrosting leftovers for tonight and tomorrow night. Hoping project finishes in two days.
Great idea for a truffle. Loving your Christmas decor. The good cookies look yummy by the way. Janice
Those cookies look delicious, I do miss baking goodies for the holidays, but hard when I can't eat them. I finally hit some thrifts myself and found boxes and gift bags, that I couldn't find in the store. We have some that get free, new items from overstock, so they were new and cheap.

THat all looks beautiful and/or yummy!
I have one of those thermometers too. Such fun
The truffles are good the slippers are coming slowly
Thanks for the visit.
I hope your kitchen is nearing completion.
We are enjoying that silly little thermometer.
Thank you and they are a bit to tasty.
Your cookies are beautiful and I think your slipper idea is a wonderful one -- and perfect for being inside on a snowy day! I think you are enjoying your retirement, my friend -- and not a bit bored!
