The Eye Appoint That Wasn't

We got snow overnight Sunday into Monday morning. Heavy snow that is bending the trees and shrubs to the ground.

It snowed lightly most of the day. And this is why I love it here. The quiet that goes with the snow. Just very peaceful.
Now I am not going to say I am not sick of it by March. Or that I love to shovel and roof rake. But some how the snow reminds me of my childhood. The really good parts.

We heard tapping on the window. A little finch letting us know that the bear is sleeping and time to put out the feeder again.

I thought I had an eye appointment. With traffic an hour down. Someone was suppose to call me to let me know the Dr could not see me that day. Well they didn't grrr  so we made the best of it a bit of shopping and lunch out.
We were just a couple of exits from home when we start to see the mountains and hills of home. Pretty beautiful!
I will leave you with a picture of our house all decked out for Christmas.
   Have a wonderful week♡

That bird tapping theory of yours I truly believe to be true. I've had humming birds fly and hover in front of me telling me they needed food. The birds live in the bushes near our houses and see us provide food so they are aware.

The dental appointment thing makes me mad! If YOU didn't show up for the appointment they'd probably charge you for their time. Why don't you contact the dental office and tell them to credit your account for your time lost toward your next visit.

Such pretty snow scenes, but I can do without!
Your home looks simply gorgeous.
Really annoying about the eye appointment. Customer service. What is that?

Too bad about the appointment. An unexpected chance to shop and have lunch out can be nice though. Your house looks lovely in its Christmas finery.

I agree with Saundra. They should credit you for the loss of your time to get to your appointment.

I was watching your video and I was wondering what was that small animal moving under the branches of the evergreen tree?

Take care and enjoy the beauty of fresh fallen snow.
Hugs,
Julia

Your home looks beautiful in the snow, and how cute the bird taps to remind you to feed him or her. I like the poem you include in the beginning of this post, about snow.

It looks so beautiful! Snow does bring a lot of peace. Driving in it can be tricky and I am sorry you had a wasted journey but you made the most of it, splendid! The video was lovely too and your home looked beautiful among the trees with the lights on. Happy December!

Wow, that snow is beautiful. Your home looks so cozy and Christmassy all lit up in the snowy woods. Sorry about your eye appointment, but glad to hear that you made the best of the drive. See you again soon!

Beautiful I always loved the first snow fall especially at our woods home. The little bird had me smiling, at the woods home some years the little hummingbirds would peck at the window to let me know they had arrived in the spring-so fun I love nature

What a beautiful and picturesque setting. I don't think I would ever get tired of that view. Well, not until March when I would be more than ready for spring!

You got a whole lot more snow than we did. I have had hummingbirds buzz me in the garden before to remind me to set up feeder. This year I put out sunflower seeds that were leftover from last year and the birds didn't like it. I had to dump it and buy new. Never had it go bad before but then in MD I would feed the birds year round with no threat of bears.

What a smart finch to tap at the window to let you know it was time to put out the feeders.
Your snow is so pretty. I hope we get some too but not too much and please may it not hang around too long.

A bit envious of that beautiful snowfall, Cathy, and your house did look nicely nestled in that winter wonderland. We’re still waiting for some in Nashua. Looks like you and B had a great tome together, cute mushroom caps too.
