Charlie Brown's Teacher?

Sweet B made this when she was quite small. I love that she put glasses on him like she wears

I picked up the turkey last week thrifting he is old chalkware and was only 1.00. I also made some pomanders.
I haven't  made these in years. And they smell great!
We had a lot of warning about the up coming storm. My brother was coming from 6 hrs away. I contacted him to let him know about the snow. He just moved back from Mississippi and hasn't driven on snow in years.  Well no big deal he would still come Wed.  You guessed it he called to inform me it was snowy and slippery!!! My husband had an appointment for his truck. I thought we should drop the truck the night before. Nope and he couldn't get out of the driveway to get his truck there!!! So when I talk Do I sound like Charlie Brown's teacher?? I do think that sme lessons were learned.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

What a deal on that chalk ware turkey! You and Lauren got some great scores lately. OMG, I haven't made those clove/orange holiday balls in years either. Just thinking about them it's like I can almost smell them, lol.

Great deal on the turkey!!!
Like you and Saundra, I haven't made clove studded pomanders in MANY years. When I was emptying out my kitchen cupboards, I found a bag of cloves. I know I kept them but haven't a clue where I put them...lol.
Snow is beautiful, but no need to share!

I love your chalkware turkey. What a great find and bargain.

It's been snowing all day and our power blinked on and off. I saw a blue light when I was looking out and the power went out. It must be a transformer that shorted out. I had just finished supper. My sister-in-law called and she had a cornbread in the oven.

I went out to the grocery store before lunch and the roads were very slippery I saw a car off the road and the police were there and later, I saw an ambulance. The cashier said that was the third accident that she heard of this morning. I'm some glad that I got my snow tires on yesterday.

Stay safe and well and I hope that your Thanksgiving family guest makes it there safely tomorrow.
Hugs,
Julia

Have a lovely Thanksgiving. I hope the snow doesn't keep Thanksgiving from coming.
I laughed, about Charlie Brown's teacher. I am sure I sound like that all of the time.
I love your chalk-ware turkey.
Eat lots and have fun,

You always find the neatest things while thrifting. I really haven't been in ages, I need a yard sale to get rid of stuff, lol. I haven't made pomanders in years, that might be a fun activity to do with the boys.

That chalkware turkey was a great find. No doubt he'll show up for Thanksgiving in future years.

Hello there, I just surfed in after visiting with Debbie. Thoroughly enjoyed your blog and will enjoy coming back. I love your thrifting buys, especially the turkey. We haven't had any snow down here in Virginia, but I keep hearing we are going to get a bad one this year. I love snow until I have to drive in it. Got caught on a freeway once after visiting family and it took over 12 hours to get home instead of three-and-a-half. We left a day early to miss the storm but it took everyone by surprise the fierceness of it. Hope no snow like that this winter and I don't travel as much anyways. Have a wonderful week!
