The Marginal Way

The sun's angle is making for pretty pictures lately.

Yesterday we made the 2 hrs trip to Maine. We are staying in families cottage for a few days.
Our first sunset was a good one. We saw family and friends on our first day always wonderful to catch up.

Thus morning we headed for Perkins Cove and walked the marginal way. It is a public path along the ocean. If you look at the point of land you can see fog rolling in there. If you are ever in the area it is not to be missed.

Most of the sea roses have gone by but we did see a few that were left.                                   Have a wonderful week!

That sounds like a wonderful little escape. I love the fog rolling in. Those look like beautiful properties in that photo. I wonder if they are residences or hotels or?? I've never heard of sea roses. They look beautiful though. Happy Monday! ~Robin~

I've never seen sea roses either and I've covered a lot of miles along our Delaware and Maryland beaches. So much be indigenous to that area. Am sure you will enjoy your getaway.

It is so cool watching the fog roll in on the river here by us. I just dont like driving in it. Your ocean view was picture perfect! So glad you were able to getaway for a few days. Janice

You've traveled a lot this summer and have visited so many places.
We're getting fog in the morning since we live by the river and the mornings are getting cooler. Like Janice, I love fog but I do not like to drive on the highway in the fog.
I've never heard of Sea Roses. They look pretty.

Enjoy your visit.
Hugs, Julia

I've never heard of sea roses, either.
Maine looks like a beautiful place. One state I have never been to.

I'll be in Maine after we hit Salem. Hopefully we'll see some of these places! Still trying to figure out the way home so we can stop in N.H. I promise let you know! Your photos are stunning! We're heading into my favorite time of year and I hope to get some nice pics also.

We have been to this Maine location a few times and walked the Marginal Way as well ending up in Perkins Cove, very conveniently for a lunch stop. Thanks, Cathy, for bringing back a happy memory and hope the rest of your trip is enjoyable as well.

I love being by the ocean but the mountains are home for me.
