The Slant Of The Sun

The afternoon sun is at a different slant. Can fall be far behind?

The hydrangea is the only thing that flourished in all the rain this summer.

Only one naked lady bloomed this year out of 6.

I have been working on a halloween project. Spray painting on an old pallet outside. The spider web got decorated too!

We went to the concert on the common tonight and the moon was high and the night was closing in early.
We have had such lovely days the past few days but very cool evenings.

Husband got a game camera to see if the bear is coming and going on our property. The only pictures he has gotten are of me crossing the yard.
Our grand had orientation today she starts middle school this year. My daughter was having a hard time with it. I told her just wait until you drop her at college! Our daughter went to college 3 hours away from us I cried all the way home.

I apologize for not getting back to some if you. I need to do much better. But I have read each comment and appreciate each of your visits.
Have a great week.

I love the photos...I can always tell by the golden hue and slant of the shadows Fall isn't far away...looks like you notice the same things :} Middle school was a hard transition for me too...here at least, it's the first time all of the surrounding county schools are in one building. All of a sudden they're not with their elementary school friends, and all of a sudden I didn't know all the kids or their parents...it was a big change. Ugh, don't ask me about college - you know how I feel about that, soooo hard! I remember someone telling me it's okay to cry...we don't have to face difficult times with an iron will. Wise words...

I noticed the slant of the sun too when I went to harvest beans and beets in my garden after supper.

That stained glass window is so beautiful, especially when the sun hits it.

The kids are growing way too fast and sooner or later, they leave the nest. It's not easy being a mom.

It was cold here too this morning and last evening I put on an extra blanket on the bed. I slept well.
Hugs, Julia

I've noticed a change in the light, too. The sun is "coming down" in a different spot in the sunset. I hope the bear moves on!

Yes, fall is coming. I love that stained glass window. Is that in your home? Glad that your "friend" Mr. Bear has stayed away for a while. Have a great Thursday. See you again soon!

That us my daughters worry here there are I think 3 schools coming together and my grand has sweet friends and my daughter worry there will be outside influences. She is pretty firm on no social media for now. I agree!

Cool nights are lovely. No need for a fan at all, just open windows.

Fall is in the air here too. We had two humid weeks but lots of rain as well. Some of the leaves are turning though.

So much rain this summer we are praying for a nice long fall

Well the humidity came back fast and furious, so no Autumn here right now. However I am decorating for Autumn inside. It is very hard transitioning from elementary to middle school and even high school. Good luck to sweet B!. Janice

Awww...I understand your daughter's apprehension but from what I have seen in photos and read in your words, Miss B has been given the tools she needs (and then some!) to be successful in life...and survive the temptations and "ill" influences. The past two days/nights have been some of the hottest and most humid we have had yet but I admit I have loved those late nights (early mornings?) when I don't have to put on a sweatshirt to go outside and enjoy the Moon's company. Cooler temps moving in this weekend but still no rain. ~Robin~

The weather is changing much too quickly. Darkness is arriving earlier and earlier...just like it does every year...lol.
Miss B is growing up. I remember when you announced on your blog you were going to be a grandma...and she is turning in to a fine, beautiful young lady.

Agreed, Cathy,, fall seems to be coming very soon. The tree visible on the river from our apt living room window is already stripped of all its leaves, but then it didn't have a full foliage to start with. Hopefully the bear is gone for good and so that's why there are no captures? No worries about not being able to reply to comments as I too am having the same problem especially when others post more often than myself.
