I Stepped On A Frog!!!!

Ok at least I think I did. But that poor frog was flat and I had been gardening around there. Husband says no way I would have stepped on it and not known it. Just made me very sad the poor guy they are such good bug eaters.

Sweet B and her best friend all dolled up for the Barbie Movie.
They went with a lot of the girls and moms from dance school they all got in the spirit with Barbie pink. My daughter went and said it was pretty funny.

I spent the day cutting back and weeding Saturday in spite of the rain and lack of sun they are doing ok.

This is why the poor bear is hungry the acorns are tiny, the berries are not coming like they should, I do feel bad for him but not enough to keep him around.

And today was husband's 50th high school reunion.
I did not go to that school but do know several people in his class.
It was funny my football captain husband was nervous going in. Not sure why and really does all the old high school crap come back after all these years???
Oh and he had a great time!!!
****
My brother is here for a couple of days and the weather is wonderful.
Have a great week.

Am sure the young'ns will enjoy the Barbie movie but I don't plan to watch it even if free on the TV. Guess because I didn't grow up in that Barbie bubble as I grew up WAY before that. Good grief but reunions have also changed. For my 50th class reunion (2009) everyone was dressed vs. casual. But then a LOT in life has changed ~ some for the and not all for the good.

I have been wanting to see the Barbie movie. It's looks funny - but I guess it is also controversial. Not sure why Barbie should be controversial. I hope you have a good week.

Miss B sure is growing up and getting cuter by the day!
Flowers do look good in spite of your lousy weather. Once again, the rain fizzled here ;-( I am sure you would be more than happy to share.
Funny story...no, actually a sad one. DSO got an invitation to a 62nd class reunion (classmates are now all 80 ish). On the invitation it asked if you used a wheelchair, cane, walker or other. I guess they want to make it accessible to everyone. He is so fortunate that he is in such great health!!!

I heard good things about the Barbie movie. Sounds fun, too.

I agree, if you stepped on a frog, then you would have no doubts that's what happened.

Fun photos. Have a fun week!

Oh dear, that can happen. My son stepped outside our front door and there was a frog on the welcome mat and ...tears ensued! (He was young at the time and loved all frogs!)
That Barbie movie is hugely popular. I don't really want to see it myself but I'm old! LOL!!

As our blog title suggests, Cathy, we like frogs and it is unlikely that you unknowingly caused the demise of one. Your granddaughter and friend certainly looked cute in their movie going attire. The film smashed box office records, but is not on my viewing kist, but then neither is the other currently popular film, Oppenheimer. I wondered where was your husband in the reunion photo you posted.

I have a huge affinity for frogs and toads and would have felt bad as well. Yesterday I rescued 9 teeny, tiny, toad babies from the pool. Not sure how or why they all ended up in there, but hope they survived. Unfortunately, I had not beach towels handy for them. Your gardens look like a beautiful cottage garden - love it! We are still in desperate need of rain and the extreme heat is returning tomorrow. One forecast I saw was saying 95ยบ later in the week. I will have to turn on the air again...ugh. I despise a/c. Have a good new week! ~Robin~

Ugh I do hope you didn't. My son lives next to a sump and they have baby frogs everywhere and its just happens.
Your yard is just beautiful. How cute Miss B looks as so does her friend.
I haven't counted up but I am pretty close to the big number on class reunions.
I hope you have a lovely week.

I'm so glad that we are having a lot of frogs and toads this year with the grass growing so fast with all the rain we've had. Maybe that is why we have had so few mosquitoes around here this summer. Usually, they eat us alive.

We went to my husband's 50th Class reunion 9 years ago and we both enjoyed it very much. They had all kinds of wonderful activities and entertainment. I had met some of them before and also and it was nice to touch base with them.

Like Saundra, the Barbie film has not piqued my interest so I won't be watching it. Miss B. looks so tall.

Your flowers are still looking good with all that rain.

Take care and watch out for that frog.
Hugs, Julia

Rick has his 50th in September -- I know NO ONE in his group so it will be an adventure! The girls look so cute for the movie and your gardens are just charming!

Love how the girls got in the spirit of Barbie for the movie. Think I’ll pass that one though.

I am glad the girls all had fun and isn't that what being a kid is about?

Growing up we would accidentally mow over a toad and I would always be devastated. I think the reason we had a bear last year is hail wiped out the berries and they were exploratory mining down our valley. We aren't supposed to have bears here, but there he was. Glad yours has stayed away. I can see that they would be very destructive.

I am playing catchup here in the blogging world and was wonderstruck when I saw the absolutely stunning pictures of your home and gardens. Wow! I love all the shade-loving plants, which I think are the absolute best. But I doubt you smashed the frog.

I don't have much full sun so easy shade lovers is what I stick to. Thank you so much for the compliment. My husband does not 5hink I stepped on him either.

We have many tiny toads and I like having them except when Annabelle thinks she should capture them! They make dogs sick and she was pretty shocked when she grabbed one in her mouth! Yuck! I think Miss B looks adorable! She's tall! I think the movie does look fun. Your flowers are beautiful and I'm glad you have good weather for your brother's visit. I didn't go to my 50th reunion but I went to Jack's and now we meet for lunch once a month..about 30 of us! I've come to know them and enjoy the lunch with everyone. Have a nice rest of the week Cathy!
