We still have piles of snow here and there. But it is melting fast yahoo
And there are signs of life!
This will be the second year that I have cut back my geraniums.
I keep them wrapped in newspaper in a cool closet all winter.
I have a few pots, I have crowded them in and will separate them when they start to really get going.
Hopefully they will do as well this year.
I swear they bloomed like this all-summer last year.

We are in for summer like weather the next few days.
I know that it is not safe to plant outside yet we usually have to wait until Memorial day. But it's a start and it makes me excited. We have so much clean up from the winter storms but that will come slowly but surely.

It's nice seeing signs of spring. Things are popping up in the perennial beds but there's still no grass yet in my yard. The snow is almost all gone except in the shaded areas.
I need to start cleaning the winter debris in my yard.

I am envious. Still too much snow here. I also tried to overwinter my geraniums. Hopefully they will do ok. Yours were fabulous last year.
Your geraniums were gorgeous last year and suspect they will do equally as well this year with your green thumb.
It's in the 70s already as I type this shortly after 10 am. My daffodils will surely pop open today. I did buy two pots of pansies yesterday for the front porch.
Yeah for getting back to Spring in your neck of the woods! After all the sunshine you were able to enjoy down South I'm glad you can have more of it up North. We in Ohio are loving the weather we have had this week. I thought of you all day on Easter as I had my cute egg hot pads you made me to help with the dinner! I had some really nice comments from my family about them and about blog buddies! Have a good rest of the week and I hope those geraniums do fabulously!

I saved one from last summer. On a sunny window sill, it is blooming.
Summer like weather here too! We will be turning on the grill and doing some hot wings tonight. Made some potato salad to go with. Hope the warm weather stays now. Your geraniums are just so beautiful and to think you grew them yourself. A green thumb for sure! Janice

Oh why did I forget/neglect to winter over some geraniums?? Mine were mediocre last year so perhaps that was part of it. Looking forward to seeing how yours flourish again this year. We have had absolutely (abnormal) glorious weather here this week - windy, but glorious nonetheless. It will go back to Nod normal next week sadly. But I did spy some daffies popping up. I put my geraniums in paper bags this year like you did before. I haven’t checked them yet but will on Saturday. I’m hoping they come back like yours did. We will see. I so excited that yours do so well!
Oh can you share the details on keeping the geraniums? No watering, just wrapped and cool? I tried to keep ferns over the winter...followed the directions, alas, they didn't make it - my fault I'm sure. Happy digging! Mary
I'm glad the snow is melting fast. We usually wait till Memorial day to plant, too.
Snow and heat on here. Spring should be back soon though.
