If The Hat Fits....

I say....

Wear it! I treated myself to a wonderful fun hat.
This is for Robin. Yes the stone wall around the cemetery.

Today is a lot cooler than it has been but it is sunny and breezy, Just glorious!!! I had horrid back pain all week. I have no idea what happened to cause it ,but it was bad! I usually have no back issues, the good news is that it is much better today.

We headed to Maine for a dear friend's birthday. She moved away from us a while ago but we never stopped staying in touch. It was just a few of us that have remained friends all these years.
We did some shopping. I did not get much but I loved this sign! So true!

Fall is truly falling away. I am very sad to see it go. It has been a warm lovely fall.

The next town to us is a college town. Plymouth State College. Every year somehow two pumpkins magically appear on top of the clock tower! Who knows? that would be a very steep climb maybe it's magic!

Next post will be more wonderful rugs
have a magical week.

What a fancy witch hat you got there. I hope that you get to wear it at work. It would be a shame to leave it home.

That cemetery is right in the wood. I bet the trees were well fed. I love the rock wall.

How fun that you visited your friend in the next town. I wonder how they got those pumpkins up there? Maybe they used the fire department to put them in place. Pretty cool, anyway...

Fall weather is here too and our trees are losing their leaves fast.

Take care,
Hugs, Julia

I LOVE IT!!!!!! THANK YOU for taking the time to photograph that for me. In your spare time, you can photograph each of the headstones for me....JUST KIDDING (sorta LOL). What a beautiful place to rest....but I wonder if any of them resting there are remembered by a descendant. Your trees are still beautiful in their colors...our color is gone now for all practical purposes. That is so awesome that someone puts the pumpkins on the clock tower every year...great tradition. Your fish is looking fantastic!!! ~Robin~

So glad your back is feeling better. It's great that you could go to Maine and see your friend. I would love to experience a New England fall - beautiful, colorful leaves. I hope you have a great week!

Oh wow, maybe some spry rock-climber type students can get those pumpkins up there! That's amazing. College kids are so zany! I am glad your back is feeling better. And glad you got to see your friend! Friends are so precious.

What a fun hat! We have almost no color here yet in Ohio, but the weather is definitely changing...and not for the better...lol!
I hope your back is even better today. When your back hurts everything hurts.
Fish is looking...very fishy and very cool.
The pumpkins on the tower...what a cool tradition. LOVE it.

Still summer in NYC. No autumn color here and soon the leaves will be gone. We had another summery day today -- 70 degrees -- and I'm still in sandals. Your hat is great!

That’s a great hat, Cathy, and a nice treat to yourself. The pumpkins at the top of that college building are certainly a conundrum and the fact that they appear every fall is amazing. We have driven by Plymouth State College on a past day trip. The town looked interesting and we plan another visit in the future. Since we are NH neighbors maybe we will meet there one day?
