By Monday it was in the high 30's my friend called, and we strapped on the snowshoes and headed out. It was hard going as we were breaking the trail and there is a pretty thick crust on the snow.
But the payoff was so worth it!
Sunny and glorious!
Just time with my friend and the fresh air I could not ask for anything more.....
It tired me out and I slept so well that night.

I bought this book new and was very disappointed in it.
Quick read what could have been told in 4 chapters was dragged out to a whole book.

I have also had some good hooking time, so my witch is coming along. I am ready for her to be done I want to move on to something else.
Have a wonderful week!

I wonder if Robin has read it and what she thought. I think she reads your blog so perhaps we'll soon find out.
Yes, we warmed up here as well...but no snowshoeing for me. (Well, except for the marching turkeys....they might have them strapped on with their little helmets...you never know.) And your drinks by the fire look and sound so enticing. Is that a Cosmo?? I love a good Cosmo. I heard about that book from someone (perhaps even you in a past post?) and then took a look at it and, for some reason, decided not to get it. Sounds like it was a good decision. Bad weather is supposed to roll in again tomorrow night...'tis eternal winter in Nod. ~Robin~
What a beautiful hike! So glad that your temperatures warmed up and you and your friend could go. Thanks for the warning about that book. I will avoid that one. I hate it when an author just drags a story out to make the book longer. It's a particular pet peeve of mine. Enjoy the rest of the week. See you again soon!
your snow shoe adventure sounds amazing! nice to have a drink at the end too-thank you for the slow mail hugs Kathy
That was so cool how you and your friend walked in your snowshoes to see the beauty. Then end it with a nice pretty drink. I bet you were tired.
Have strapped the snowshoes on only once so far. We went across the field behind us and it was tough going because of the crust. Forecast here doesn't bode well for any more snowshoeing anytime soon.
Well we are in tap for rain all day with some possible thunderstorms later on. Gorgeous pics! Have drink at your fav place by a fireplace sounded perfect! Janice
Beautiful views ;-)
I started to comment and then was called away. So here I am again.
I'm glad the cold snap has loosened its grip and the temperatures are warm enough for snowshoeing. I can imagine the thick hard crust would make snowshoeing a little more difficult.
Sorry about the disappointing book. I'm almost finished reading my very thick book, but have plenty of books in the queue from our last church book sale. It will take me years to read.
Hugs,
Julia
Wow! The landscapes are gorgeous! The drinks look like a nice relaxing time.
When the sun shines it's just so much nicer even in cold temps. I'm glad you have warmed up. We did too but today was 62 on my car thermometer! I even had windows open to air out the house a bit. I did take Annabelle on a nice walk and even cleaned up the woodpile area and split a lot of wood. I hope I sleep good tonight! I was so excited when I saw the title but I'm glad you said it wasn't good. Saved me from wasting money! Can't beat time with friends and a fire to enjoy! Have a good Friday!
You have some amazing walks or I should say hikes. As for the favorite place by the fire that looks swell too! It seems we are always ready to get on to our next project especially if the present ones are seasonal. Enjoy the process I keep being told!
I am very blessed to live here and have a wonderful friend who likes to go out and about.
Yes you are right we should enjoy the process not be in a hurry
Thanks for the visit.
Cathy
