Starch?

Sunday my friend and I headed out for a very short walk.
But our walks are always pretty.

The weather has been beautiful since our cold snap, and we may get close to 60 by the end of the week. So, the ice is not that safe around here. I do not remember it being this warm before. After our walk we headed for lunch it was nice to catch up.

Today I did a ride along with husband to the dump. I picked up the sweet tin that I will use for storage in my rug hooking room.
and there was a 2 pack of spray starch (I took one). I do not use starch much anymore, but it is almost curtain washing time and yes, I iron and starch them to make them look crisp and ready for open window weather.

Ok my witch is done she needs a good pressing and to be bound but the hooking is finally done. I made a few changes to the pattern. I added the pumpkin and the moon I also put the spider off her hat. But the biggest change was the border. It was all triangles I chose to make it bittersweet. Voila there she is!

Another beautiful day here so I got a walk in and a few errands.
I washed the kitchen floor and did some other cleaning. Time for pjs and a couple of shows before bed.
Have a great week!

I like your rug - that is a lot of work - do you have them all over your house? That dump you go and visit is so cool. Wish we had that here. Our weather is getting warmer here too - but rain!!!!!!!!!!! So tired of the rain.

Great creative changes to you Falloween rug. Mild temps here too but who knows how mother nature will treat us in the upcoming days. We must enjoy while we have the good weather.

Catching up on all your posts, you have been busy. Love the views from the mountain, will have to get up there and do the hike. There are camps in your area, that we can stay in. You witch rug came out beautifully, that is a fun design. I think you pack more in your room than I do and it is more organized, lol. I wish I had done built ins instead of freestanding shelves.

Maybe the PA possum was wrong about winter lasting longer. There is no snow here currently and the temps will be near 60 degrees on Thursday with rain on Friday. You and your friend enjoyed some beautiful views on your walk.

Your witch is amazing! The changes and add ons added so much to her. Being able to have artistic permission in our creations is what makes many tings our own. Just LOVE it! Happy Valentines Day too by the way❤️

Oh and your dump visits are awesome! Great tin. We don’t have recycle anymore unfortunately but our son does in Maine and he’s been the recipient of many absolute treasures!

Great dump find on the tin. Now you just need to remember what you store in it...lol!

We're in the 50s here -- so odd. But chilling down next week or later this week.

Between company last week, prepping for a Cork Poppers do, an ear and/or sinus infection, and then this week's mass shooting in our town, I'm so behind blog reading, I'll never catch up! I'll try to take a look at all but not comment and hopefully be back on schedule this week!

Very nice, I like the changes you made. The bitterseet border is perfect. Lovely photos. The tin! Great find. I wish our transfer station had a section to look through.

I love your finished witch! Good choice for the bittersweet. We have a new place that reminds me of your dump. You can bring anything in to leave and can have anything you might want for free. It's great for people who really can't afford anything and Goodwill isn't so good on the will part anymore! Glad your temps are like ours..very unseasonably warm. Yesterday was almost 70 and sunny! However, I'm afraid of fruit trees blossoming early and then a big cold snap could come in March. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen! Have a good day Cathy!

Your witch is so wicked COOL! I LOVE everything about her. Great wool choice for the dress and all the "tweaks" you made only improved the design. I especially love the bittersweet - it compliments the piece without competing and, well, I love, love, love bittersweet. And that cat!! GAH! Trying to do a bit of blog catch-up and I am reading that many are in unseasonably mild weather. We had a few days of high 30's and melting, but still snow...and today turned cold again. Still winter here in Nod. ~Robin~ (Love your tin!)
