I finished my Louise Penny book and have started another one. I have only read a couple of chapters not sure if it is going to be a keeper.
Sunday morning, I made us some hard boil eggs. They came out perfect. The fool proof way is start them in cold water once they start to boil take them off the burner let them sit for 15 minutes then drain the hot water and put them in cold water. Perfect every time.
I made a few extra for some deviled eggs.
Save the shells and put them directly in the garden. This time of year, I put them right on the snow. I do crunch them up a bit but so good for the soil no need to do anything else to them. by spring I will turn them right into the soil
I made a stuffed pork loin. I just sliced the loin to lay flat then I pounded it a bit to make it even. I sautéed some onions, spinach, and garlic. I threw in some tomatoes at the very end. Rolled it up wrapped a few sliced of bacon around it baked until the meat reaches 174. Perfect! Very very tender.
The plan this week is to take the left-over pork and cut it up and make nachos. Husband is very picky about nachos so I will make his mild with cheese and a bit of salsa with the pork. I will really add to mine. I love it all!

I shoveled some more today. I had not done the front walkway and we do use it now and then, so I attacked it. It had a hard crust and had not been shoveled since we got all the snow. I got it done and I was tired after. But I am not walking much right now the roads are all ice and I am not that brave, so it was good exercise.

I see we are going to get some really cold weather. We are watching the chiefs game and they are so cold there I think we are going to get that weather. So I will tuck in and do some stuff around the house and hook a bit and wait for warmer days.

We had freezing rain this morning and it was not fun driving to the store today. I do what you do with my eggs. They do come out perfect. Stuffed pork loin sounds good and who dont love a chocolate cake. Janice
The food looks delicious! Do you call your dairy/egg free cake Wacky Cake? My family were having a discussion about that the other day. (We are dairy/egg free due to allergies)
Was mild here again today at 50 degrees. Doubt we are out of the woods yet with harsh winter weather, just lucky.
All your food sounds and looks delicious. I love, love, love eggs and deviled eggs are a favorite. Even if it's just me, I often make them. And that's the same way I do my eggs. We got another dump of snow on Thursday night/Friday (seems to becoming a pattern of late), then wind, and blowing and drifting...and now bitter cold. I have the heaters running downstairs and hoping and praying that the pipes don't freeze. Still haven't gotten shoveled out and now it will be impossible as it has been trampled. Love the library quote...but I don't know how you can start reading and put it down and not finish. Wish I could as I have ready many books I wish I wouldn't have bothered with, but once I start, I feel like I have to finish. ~Robin~

Yippie for the win! Wasn’t it a great game? I was given a silly silhouette of cats face bathroom rug with rubber back. It got faded by bleach before I was gifted it, so I pulled out the yarn and started hooking it during the game. Creative minds think alike! Hope we don’t get too much snow tonight.

It's also going to be colder here this week too. It sounds like you have a plan for these cold winter days...good food and working on the rugs.

That's a good idea about the eggshells and even in the snow. I was just thinking when I woke up today that I'd like to make some deviled eggs. (Why do we want eggs all the time now when they are more expensive than ever?! If you see them on an appetizer table it's like caviar!)
Try to read the Louise Pennys in order. It makes a bit of a difference in terms of character development -- and especially the first eight books.
Boy, your pork dish looks amazing. That's actually on my menu for today but I'm not going to stuff it...although it sure looks yummy! I made hard boiled eggs last night and I'm planning on a nice egg salad sandwich for lunch. OK, so now I'm officially starving! However, I'm heading out to the wood pile to get more wood in and it's very chilly here today...in the teens and 20's but the sun is shining so I'm good with it! You got so much more bad weather than us but I can see you're taking it in stride. Stay safe, warm and have a good rest of this week!

Yes yes....I have a ball jar of pulverized shells that I use in the garden and also sprinkle over the tomato plants.
Pork dinner is one of my favorites....might have to try this one.

Walking through a casino, my son and I stopped by a bar to watch the last few seconds of the game. Darn. I am not a football fan. He is, but of course we were rooting for the Ohio team.
That frigid weather you mentioned is headed to Nashua, N, by the end of this week. That's the not-so-good news, but the good news is that no precip will be heading this week and the snow from a few recent snowfalls has melted in most areas. The pork loin looks as delicious as it must have tasted, Cathy. I remember that eggless cakes were prepared during the WWII years and believe I have a recipe someplace and also just learned there are egg substitutes like apple sauce. My hard boiled eggs are sometimes good and sometimes not.
My mouth is literally watering over that pork loin! Wow!
