There's A Storm A Coming!

I am pretty happy with my witch. But as you can see, I have a section that needs to be redone.
I am going to make the border bittersweet instead of the triangles.

Walking has been a bit tricky. This is sheer ice, and the sand has melted into the ice so slick doesn't begin to describe it.

So I walk on our road doing it twice is a little over 2 miles.
"Few people know how to take a walk. the qualifications are endurance, plain clothes, old shoes, an eye for nature, good humor, vast curiosity, good speech, good silence, and nothing too much."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
We are in for 5 to 8 inches, and they are not predicting rain. We may just keep this snow for a while. Time to strap on the snowshoes! yea!
Have a great week!

We have almost 200% of normal snowpack here in Utah. I like you witch. Enjoy the rest of this week. See you again soon.

Stay safe with the impeding snow coming in. We have had rain lately and no snow, which is ok with me. Janice

Am glad that white and translucent stuff makes you happy. You can claim it all for your state.

Adding your own personal touch with bittersweet was a great idea. It's looking more interesting than with triangles.

I'd be scared to fall and break a hip or something on that icy road, but nothing seems to stop you from walking. My older sister does some snowshoeing every winter. I've never tried it. I'm just a wuss when it comes to winter.
Take care and enjoy hooking on your cute witch.

Hugs, Julia

Witchy Poo is looking good!
You are so dedicated to walk in the winter. I just do my 30 minutes on the treadmill and call it good.
Sounds like you are looking forward to some snow. Enjoy it if that is the case ;-)

Walking on ice is what I also try to avoid at all times as a fall would be painful and most unwelcome. Instead, I walk on the treadmill in the gym here and can listen to an audiobook or podcast without fear of falling. Yes, a snowfall that doesn’t turn to rain should be nice and maybe I will consider getting out my own snowshoes too. Stay warm and safe.

Your witch is darling. I hate ice. We still don't have snow, though nights are cold but days around 40. I know we'll be in for it eventually -- we always are!

Here in north central WI we had ice too. Last night a dumping of around 6 inches snow with a wintery mix on the way. I hope to strap on my snowshoes and take advantage of the new snow. Have a good day.

Snow tonight and tomorrow and someone at BoneBuilders today said another storm on Sunday. We need the snow.

I like how you are doing the border, that will be a nice addition. Just rain here, at least in snow, I can walk in it.
I guess we need to head up north for a long weekend.

Your witch is looking wicked good...love the idea of a bittersweet border as I am quite partial to bittersweet. They were forecasting up to 9" of snow but we only ended up with around 7?? Still more than I care to see this point. And, yes, there is still ice way down under that...and the other snow that never got around to melting. Stay safe and well. ~Robin~

Hi Cathy! Oh that witch is wonderful! Bittersweet will be a perfect border too. I'm already excited about Halloween and it's only January! Looks like that storm skipped over us. We got a dusting but something is headed our way next week. I can't believe this month is almost over and yesterday we had 64de and sun! I know that's a fluke so I'll brace for the possible storm. Your road looks like my road but when it's icy I don't walk there because we get some traffic and there's no place to get out of the way. Stay safe and warm and enjoy the beauty of the season!
