March Doing It's Thing

We got about 4 to 5 inches of snow overnight. It's hard to tell because it rained on it so it was like shoveling cement ugg!
Our generator kicked in overnight to keep us going until the lights came back on thankfully it wasn't long.
And tonight the strong winds will come in and everything will freeze solid. Then by the end of the week it will be high 50's! Crazy month!

I oiled some of my chopping boards.

I went back to Littleton on Sat. with my sweet friend we didn't get much but had a nice time. I got this blouse it is from the sundance company and if you have ever seen a catalog of their things holy money! I got this one for 11.00 and I think it will be so sweet with white capris this summer or even jeans.

We took a walk through NH league of craftsmen and wow these rabbits are felted wool!! Just amazing. The potteryI do not know who made it but I loved that too.

The bunnies were felted by a woman named libby and she gives classes here in NH.
Husband has been hard at work making these for me and my friends do you have any idea what they are?? Hint there are 5 individual ones there.

I happened to be in Walmart and found these solar glasses since I will have company during the eclipse I bought us all one. Less than 2.00 a piece.

Time change is messing me up so I am going to have a coffee and think about it.
***
We finished Broadchurch WOW!
We needed a break so we are watching all things great and small on PBS passport from the beginning. We had caught episodes of it now and then but not ever a whole season. We are loving this one such a change from Broadchurch. We will go back to season 2 of Broadchurch after awhile.
***
Well the sun is shining I will take a small walk on our road. The dirt road I walk on I would sink out of sight. It's as bad as I have ever seen it.
Have a wonderful week.

We plan to get some of the glasses but I don’t expect we’ll actually see the eclipse.

Hello! I love that blouse! So pretty. Great color! We had 4-6 inches of snow last weekend and lots of sunshine today. March is a fickle month weather wise. I'm glad you got glasses for the eclipse. We saw the one that was visible in the Western U.S. a few months ago and it was well worth seeing. I hope you have a great week. See you again soon!

Here there was 4-5" of rain plus more last night to add to the ever growing lake in my yard. Soon it will be mosquito farm season.
An hour less of sleep today was the pits but am trying to force the adjustment to the time by eating and going to bed on the hour so my body can regulate. THE PITS!!!!

Those rabbits are amazing. There was a store in town where the owner would make them to sell. I know she always started with a wire frame, but I never knew how she made them. Like Libby's hers were exceptional as well. We had snow, but it melted away by evening. Janice

Sweet blouse!
Those felted bunnies are amazing.
I too, think the things hubby is making are flower presses.
We are in the direct path of the total eclipse. They are predicting up to a million people coming to our county. They have been warning to stock up on food, bottled water, gasoline, etc because it will be so crazy. So exciting!!! Hotel rooms have been booked for many months and there are no porta-potties left to rent...lol!

I agree with you it always takes me a little time to adjust to a time change.

What are those things your husband made?

Not sure if we will see the eclipse here.

Thanks for the reminder. I need to oil my cutting boards. I love the blouse. Sundance prices are crazy. I love making homemade lemonade, so I was wondering how your new juicer works? I'm still searching for the perfect one. I'm sorry you got snow. It is always so soul crushing this time of the year.

What a pretty blouse and what a great price, love looking through the Sundance catalog, but oh my $$$. I’ll have to try Broadchurch – I’m in love with all creatures – beautiful scenery, terrific, acting – a really well done show. Hope you enjoy it. I confess I miss having a snowy winter, send some my way!

March can bring just about any kind of weather it seems. Talk about extremes!!
Cute blouse you found. And cute felted rabbits too.
Are you planning on doing a lot of flower drying/pressing by any chance?

Ugg is right on your weather. We continue to be dry...and today and tomorrow will be near 60º. I can only imagine the mud. My son lives on a dead end gravel road. It is only about 1/4 mile of it before reaching his house but the mud comes up in the door jambs of my truck and it doesn't come off with an ordinary car wash. What a mess and we haven't had snow or rain other than a light snow last Sunday - it's just the frost coming out I guess. Those felted rabbits are amazing. I've felted a few rabbits years back but they are not the realistic looking ones. I'm pretty sure I couldn't do anything like that. Love the Sundance styles - great find on the blouse. Gotta go with flower press too. Have a good new week - time change totally messes me up. ~Robin~

Well, um, I believe those are pine boards with threaded bolts in the corners (smarty pants award). Please don't block me 😂 I was going to say, your header pix is a gorgeous tree in bloom then the pix of snow - yep looks like March. Won't be long until we will be shedding layers.
Keep well 💕

Those rabbits. Oh my. Someone is fabulous. I hope they cost a lot because I know how long it takes to make something tiny and not nearly so detailed!

Pam said...

I'm pretty sure they are flower presses. I just can't imagine having that much snow in March! I hope Spring visits you very soon!

Grace & Peace,
Pam

My guess as to what you husband had made was cutting boards, but flower presses seems to have won out. We only had rain over the weekend, not even a flurry. The felted bunnies were wonderful and the League of NH Craftsmen is always a great storefront to explore. There's one in downtown Nashua as well.

I'm the idiot here since I have no clue what the wood and screws are for and I've never heard of Broadchurch. I need to get with it! Those rabbits are amazing. The pottery too. Good buy on that cute blouse. I have seen that catalog and it's way above my pay base! We had a dusting of snow on Sunday but today it's in the 60's. A warmish week here but I think we're not done with Winter yet. Holy cow, I think Spring is officially here next week..and the time change is a killer but I actually do better with this one for some reason. I also like the lighter later thing. Have a good week Cathy!
