U N C L E!!!

As a reward for all the shoveling I have done since Monday.
I made a cobbler. I looked online since I have never made a peach cobbler. I will say next time I will use my apple cobbler recipe with oatmeal in it instead. It still was very tasty and easy I just like more texture.

I know I wanted snow a nice big storm and then a week of great weather to enjoy it but not every couple of days it's too much! We got about 6 inches and 2 days later 15 inches! and then a day later 6 inches and then we had ice and rain to top it off. I shoveled the back deck and walkway this morning each shovel full was so heavy I had to take a lot of breaks. I have shoveled about 28 inches of snow since last Saturday! (Not all at once but still!!) I shoveled most of the day on Tuesday after the big storm I was so sore and tired I went to bed early I thought I wouldn't be able to walk the next day, but I was good!!!So I am in better shape than I thought.
And that is my sad story for this week lol.
Have a wonderful week!

When I saw the title of your post knew exactly what it was about. Be careful what you wish for or say you like/want. Snow is pretty and I loved it as a kid but as an adult not so much at my age. Hope your muscles and back recover soon.

That's a lot of snow to shovel, take it steady

Your snow amounts had ours beat, the most we have had is a few inches and then rain followed. We no longer need to shovel, but I well remember the days of doing so in our native NJ. We rarely got big snowfalls when we lived in VA. You deserved a treat after all that shoveling, so good for you😋

Oh my! That's a LOT of snow! You deserve that cobbler -- it looks terrific.

I agree you have to be careful what you ask for - that was a heck of a lot of snow girl!

That is a lot of snow. Hard work shoveling...just think of all the calories burned...lol!

You win. We had about 9-ish inches the end of last week and then every other day it snowed a little, but no more than a couple of inches...but last night we got several inches and it's snowing still...and blowing. I haven't even checked to see how much we are "supposed" to get. I haven't managed to shovel myself out from last week's snow (shoveling doesn't agree with my back issues) and no Snowdog to make me a path. So, I put on my Hunters and wade through. Grrr.... ~Robin~

We got that snow too but must admit I haven't had to move any of it thanks to husband, Dan.

Our 11 inches does not compare...but you can keep the snow you have. I have never had peach cobbler, but I do like peaches and apples btw. Janice

Snow and shovel go together but I'm not a winter person and I can't wait to see all the snow gone. This last storm brought snow and rain and now it's icy. I'm looking forward to spring.

Hugs,
Julia

Same here on the snow measurements! But we have a snow blower and it actually helped….but only a little with this last storm. I only had both sets of steps and part of the walkway to shovel. Hubby got the rest with the blower. I always feel better when we’ve had snow but I try not to wish for too much! The cobbler sounds great and looks even better. Bon appetit!

A peach cobbler sounds really good and I might have to try one. I knew exactly what your post would be about because I think a few years ago I did one with that title about the same topic! We've had snow this week but not like that. We also got the rain and just a bit of ice. Today is nice but parts of the yard...by the wood pile..are now muddy. You have really gotten slammed and like you I'm so over the shoveling but do it every year anyway. I guess we both should be happy we can still handle a snow shovel and live to tell that tale! I hope it moderates soon and you can rest that back. I do know a good Chiropractor though! Rest up Cathy and be safe and warm!

Your peach cobbler sounds delicious. Hum..I may have to give that a try. I've never done any kind other than apple with cranberry.
