Tis The Season For Sickness

I did organize the decorations by the front door a bit.

And add a Santa that is painted on an old ironing board.
It used to belong to my dear friend who passed away 5 years ago her son passed it on to me.

I made a batch of drop cheddar biscuits this week and since a batch is too much for us, I put some on a cookie sheet and froze them and then tossed them in a freezer bag. When we want one next time just pop it in the oven voila fresh biscuits.

My husband is sick he is feeling better it is just a cold. We have covid tested several times and negative. So, I am locked between my craft room and the spare bedroom to avoid it. Then I hear from my daughter and Sweet B is sick also ugg, I think a virus too. But we had to pass up Sweet B's concert at school and we have been invited to dinner with several friends and we will not be doing that either. I hate the sickness this time of year.

I will close with a funny I hope it makes you smile.
Have a healthy week!

I'm so sorry your hubby is sick. My husband was very sick three different times this year. Somehow, I've escaped it all. Love the fun holiday decorations you've managed to get up. Oh my, that library funny is the best. Hubby and I do a lot of reading of physical books still...and make almost a weekly trip to our local library. Hoping everyone feels better quickly so that you can get back to a normal holiday routine. Happy stitching! -Andrea

Since I'm not out and about all that often I've managed to stay safe from illness SO FAR.
What is the story about the 'night owl' rug?

BTW I have a documentary which shows how covid shots change the blood in our system. I will NEVER get another covid shot. Funeral homes can't embalm people because the blood doesn't drain from the body. The covid shot changes the MNRA in our blood. No wonder so many people are getting blood clots and dropping dead. So sorry hubby and Miss B are not feeling well. I hope it passes quickly and you stay healthy!
The painter of the ironing board Santa was a very talented artist. What a sweet memory of your friend. How kind of her son to gift it to you.

I'm so sorry about all the sickness in your family. I hope that you get spared.

Did your friend paint that ironing board? It looks great at your entrance. You are wise to freeze the extra dough for later use.

Stay weel and safe.
Hugs,
Julia

Being sick at the holidays is definitely the worst time as there seems so many things to do and especially people to see, Cathy. Hope that your husband and granddaughter will be feeling better and that you remain well. The decorations were nice to see. We did ours last weekend.

Colds are no fun. Mu husband had one for a month or more. Last night was the first time in a long time without the mister on. His cough was terrible. Hope you don't get it. I managed not to which is surprising because we didn't isolate him.

Love the cartoon.
I am sorry so much sickness there, but boy do I respect you staying home and not going out. We all need to do a little more of that and sickness wouldn't go around so much!

I love the santa ironing board-it looks like a vintage one I use for my ironing board-I like that it is small and easy to set up.

Hello Cathy... I've been a long time MIA as you know so I feel like I am just jumping in the middle of something but I guess I need to start someplace I guess. I'm sorry to hear your husband is ill and hope he recovers quickly. There are a lot of people ill here as well, but that is usually the case here this time of year. I am finally recovering from my COVID bout so hopefully I'll get a reprieve on all the other seasonal viruses. Love your porch decorations...and did you do that owl rug while I was MIA?? Wow. ~Robin~

Prayers for a speedy recovery and that everyone is doing well over the holidays, so you can spend time together.
I love having biscuits since they are yeast free, usually I eat them too fast to need to freeze them.
