Blooming!

The Forsythia I cut is starting to bloom!

The Geranium I started from sticks? look! woohoo!

The bluebirds are still here so happy about that.

I made bread and it came out great.

I needed a tomato, so I stopped in a local little grocery store.
And I found some hamburger marked down. Yes, please I bought 2 lbs. I made meatballs we had some for dinner last night and I froze the rest. Anything to save money at this point.

I did meet up with my little group for rug hooking and for a break on the big rug I am hooking large eggs. This one is supposed to look like redware, I like it.
I went to my buddy Pam's store on Thursday I had a gift certificate to use up (and then some) Wool wonderful wonderful wool!!!

And Thursday I got new glasses. I needed sunglasses and glasses

The sunglass part is magnetic. We shall see if I like them.

And I will close with this. Oh my sweet B ! She is stitching on her own! her mother gave her her own space. My daughter walked in B had calming music on and was working away. Look at that smile!!!!
Makes my heart sing.
Have a wonderful week!

Hi, I just planted two starts of forsythea bushes excited to have them here. Your geranium looks great, and I am loving your hooked egg-you may have inspired me to finish a rug hooking project I started years ago. my first one, I put it aside because I think I made the loops too tight so don't know if it will flatten out. I need to get that out again.
cold and rainy here still, and shopping for wool-always so fun. I have allot of wool here that I picked up at resale shops that were clothing that I felted down and took apart. I love wool too.
Happy Wednesday evening hugs Kathy (and I got your slow mail-thank you)

Miss B would make anyone smile! Love your hooked eggs. Will have to remember this for next year. Janice

OMG, the original price of the hamburger is outrageous, as is the cost of gas and everything else. Happy you got a reduced price.
Your granddaughter must be an old soul to be into handicrafts and listening to soft music rather than headbanging hard rock or whatever today's youth listens to. You and your daughter have done a good job!!!!

Wow...your geranium looks amazing! Trying to commit this method to memory LOL. Love your new glasses! Please do let us know if you like the magnetic sun glass lenses...it would seem like a perfect solution...and perhaps would lighten my purse load by a pair or two of glasses/sunglasses. 😳😎 That hooked egg is wonderful!! Are you going to finish it by stuffing and backing it...or?? And you saved the best for last....that smile on Miss B's face is just precious. ~Robin~

What a happy spring post! B has been given a place and supplies for her own creativity — soooo wonderful to see!! I grab up any unadvertised meat sales too. Nice specks!

I had those magnetic sunglasses. They worked great in the car, far safer than my trying to swap glasses while driving. But outside, light seemed to bounce back and forth between the lenses making more glare than wearing no sunglasses. That was easily remedied by wearing a hat, which I should do anyway. Now I use those big chunky "old people"* sunglasses that slip on over regular glasses.

Very cool that B has her own work space. Here's hoping it leads to many years of stitching for her.

* I can say that as I am one of those old people now. :-)

Lots of goodness in this post. Yay for the Forsythia blooming in your house. Isn't Mother Nature grand? I haven't bought hamburger meat in years since we grew our own meat but when my supply runs out, I will have to pay the price as we no longer have cattle. Meat prices have gone through the roof and now we have to pay a carbon tax on top of our high-priced gas.

I'm impressed with your Geranium and with Miss B. How grown up she looks and behaves. I'm so glad that she spends her spare time creating with her hand.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

What a sweet girl! I bet you are just over the moon having her in your life! Great glasses. I really like that egg you made. Not to mention that lovely wool. So glad you have plants that are coming out now.

I have spotted some flowers blooming in my yard, so it will be nice to see it all come to life again.
It is so wonderful that Miss B loves to create, she is truly a beautiful young lady.

My wife is a quilter so she is as passionate about fabric as you are about wool. Enjoy your bluebird. They are very special and should be showing up here very soon.
