Lady slippers....

Our Porch
I have been dabbling with my paints (The boat is cut out from a card).
Our crab tree is in full bloom. And boy, are the bees happy!
And our lilacs too. But sadly, they do not last long enough. The air is so sweet with fragrance.
I picked a few for the porch table. My afternoon treat was ice coffee from our leftover morning brew. A splash of heavy cream was a real treat.

Lovely paintings, blooms and porch! Happy day, Virginia
Love the lilacs - I bet they do smell so good. Wish I had a porch like that!
I can smell those lilacs - they are just the best! The Lady Slippers are beautiful and I like your paintings on the porch too.
Your porch is always so inviting!
For whatever reason my huge old lilac had nary a flower this year. I did not prune it at all so it wasn’t that. This has never happened before 😢
Fun paintings and the lady slippers are too sweet.
Lovely flowers sadly my blog still does not work-will communicate with letter writing. Instagram, and visit blogs from time to time
YOUR PORCH!!!!!!!!!!! I would love to sit on this porch and enjoy the cozy it speaks in your photo!!!! You are talented. I can't paint anything really!!
I also love the smell of lilacs but it is sad they do not last long!!!
You have distilled a perfect potion of Spring loveliness! What a treasure to have Lady Slippers growing nearby in your Woods!
It's way too hot to sit on my back porch right now, of course it isn't as lovely as yours. Temps will drop for a few days after today tho.
A 'splash' of cream? Looks like more cream than coffee. I like my morning hot coffee but do not like iced coffee or coffee ice cream.
I adore your porch. It would be a place that would see me sitting and spending lots of time there. Such a lovely smell the lilacs share. Mine sadly got bit this spring so blooms were rather scarce. Well have a great weekend.
I do miss having a screened porch. I'll have to make do with an open porch out front and a deck on the side. I looked at having a screen porch built on top of deck but not going to happen.
Everything is just beautiful. I love your porch and can see why you were ready to have coffee there.
I like your cards. They're so happy! And that porch looks absolutely perfect. What a wonderful spot to spend a summer afternoon!
Every time you post a photo of your beautiful porch, my porch envy grows. What a wonderful space. Your weather is far ahead of ours. No lilacs here yet...and not warm enough to sit on a porch even if I had a porch. Back in the 30's every night. It's going to be a short summer. I've also lost a great many perennials...even ones that have been returning for years (like my hibiscus, ferns, obedient plants, etc.) And things that haven't bloomed (i.e, rhododendrons... apparently the buds froze???) Pretty water color paintings!
How clean and neat your porch looks...the perfect place for your morning coffee and for playing with paints. I love your Lady Slippers.
I always envy you with your enclosed porch. Glad you always show us pics of yours. It is so wonderful. I love my everlasting lilacs as they bloom throughout the Spring and Summer months. Janice
Your porch looks like a great place to relax and dine. Often, I miss the front porch we had at our VA home, but now we have a nice riverwalk and park area next to the mill apartments.
Love the lilacs and Lady Slippers.
Your porch looks so welcoming with the paintings.
I can imagine how peaceful it must be to sit there and soak it all in!
Pink Lady Slippers!!! My sister has some that she rescued from a ditch near her home. The county was coming to cut the verges so she had to bring it home. :)))
I would enjoy that space too! The ladies slippers are so lovely.
Oh lilacs are my favorite! Mine didn’t bloom this year - too many nights it dipped down to freezing. I’ll have to simply enjoy my lilac scented candle! I’d like to see lady slippers - oh-so pretty, I just don’t think I’ve ever seen them growing here. I’ll have to investigate!
Your porch is lovely! I could spend many hours sitting out there.
