Summer came in an instant. We've been cold and rainy. Today's high is in the 70s and a touch humid. My beautiful azalea is blooming, and the bees are still busy.
The hibiscus I wintered over inside wants to get outside. But there is a chance of frost Monday and Tuesday night.
I made naan bread, it was easy and came out great. We used it to make pizza, and it was very good.
I wanted to make a pasta salad but used beans instead. It was a good swap and tasty.
I visited my friend Donna in Maine. She taught me how to make these beads, and I tried my hand at making a few myself when I got home. I'm not sure what I'll use them for, but it was a fun.I know it's hard to see, but I purchased a teabag weight. So no more sliding into the cup.

I have been dealing with a pulled muscle in my back. I have no idea how it happened; it is not from doing anything strenuous, that's for sure.
A warm week ahead, so I guess we've jumped right into summer.
Have a great week.

We are having that exact weather. All of a sudden it was almost 80 today - and humid! But frost predicted - and tomorrow high winds and hail. Crazy!
I like your tea weight.
Sorry about your muscle. Isn't it crazy how those things happen? I hope it heals quickly.
It will be in the 80's today with storms moving in. I sure hope the warmer weather stays now so I can plant some flowers outside. We have had so much frost these past few weeks...though we were having Winter again. Hope your back gets better. Not fun especially when you dont know how you did it. UGH Janice
Frost you say when it's so warm during the day? Must check my weather report here.
Like you, it was rainy and chilly here 2 days ago and summer today. I like chick peas in salads and soups, a versatile bean. I've never made naan bread but looks good.
Hot and humid in Ohio for a couple days, too.
Hope the back feels better soon.
Love the tea bag weight
The chickpeas are good choice. I’m thinking of making mac and cheese using cauliflower. 92°F here today. Temp will go down Wednesday.

Your hibiscus is looking wonderful! I picked up a few annuals the week before last but didn't plant them because of frost/freezing here... We warmed up a day or two...with wind and rain of course...but, after today, will be cooling down again - days in the 50's, low in the 30's. Hope your back feels better soon.
Sorry about your pulled muscle. I hope that heals quickly.
Homemade naan sounds so good. We use naan as pizza bases as well but so far just buy them. 'Pasta' salad with beans instead of pasta sounds good and might be more acceptable to my DH who isn't a fan of pasta salad but likes beans, Thanks for the tip.
I wanted to mention that recently I've had some difficulty accessing your blog and I wonder if anyone else had the same issue.
Love the tea bag weight!
Hello! I hope your back gets feeling better SOON. I love the tea bag weight.
That swap with beans instead of pasta looks delicious! I have been trying to incorporate more beans so this is a good idea!!! Thanks for sharing. Hugs!
we've been in the 90's for the past couple of days...had the woodstove lit last week! Naan bread looks like it would be tasty and easy{ish?} for me to make...I'll have to look that one up.
Hoping your pulled muscle quits being pulled!
That's how summer arrived here, too. I'm so sorry about your back. that's incredibly frustrating and I hope not long lasting.
Your hibiscus looks so healthy and vibrant 🌺
The tea bag weight is a clever little gadget.
So sorry about your pulled muscle.
Hoping the warm stretch of weather helps ease it and that you’re back to feeling comfortable soon. 🌞
