That describes me to a "T". I have a sweet friend who is like me, and she tells her family to give all their worries to her as she is so good at worrying.
We finally got rain yesterday we went from 80 degrees to now 50 and blustery. I have dug out the leggings and the sweatshirts. But I do worry that we will not get enough rain before winter when everything freezes here. We are on a well and it is always on my mind when it is so dry.
Last year we left our leaves until late spring. We had more fireflies than ever this summer. So, we will do the same this year.
Grand dog duty for a few days before I meet up with my grand to stay with her a few days while mom and dad are away. She is such a good dog and easy to keep.
Husband got covid at some point over our anniversary weekend. So, to stay away from him I have tucked myself away in my rug room to hook. I got the sky done!
Because it was raining and cold yesterday I made two kinds of soup. Butternut squash and cheeseburger chowder then I made a banana bread. Comfort food all around.

Husband's covid seems mild. Day 5 and he is out in his shop. We have to watch him as he is prone to pneumonia but thankfully this does not seem the case this time.
               Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy hubby is already feeling better!
I am also a member of the worrywart club.
The sky is just perfect! I’m sure you are happy to have that done.
Enjoy you grandpuppy and Miss B time ☺️
I can be a worrier too and most of the things I worry about never happen! I saw I give those worries to God, and then I take them back...
Glad your hubby is doing ok and hope you stay healthy!
That banana bread looked so good. I am a bit of a worrier too. Your grand dog is so cute. Sorry Covid is still around and your husband got it. Glad it was a light case.
Covid is still out there. We got an 1.25 inches of rain but not nearly enough. Frost this morning on the grass and cold tonight again. Never heard of cheeseburger chowder. Share the recipe , please?
I am a worrier too! It was such a dry summer Neighbors and I were just talking about how deep our wells are and should we be worried. Still so much I need to do, and finally a break in the heat, I need to pick up the pace - Another worry! Sigh - Oh well, only so many hours in the day ! The bread looks terrific- could you share your squash soup recipe? It’s one of my favorites, but I’ve never tried to make it - always wonderful to have a trusted recipe. Hoping that the Covid is over, swiftly-being out in the shop as a good sign!
I think I'm the poster child for "worry wart"...and I'm sure my son/DIL, etc. would be the first to agree. I try to remember the saying about worrying and rocking chairs (they are alike because they both give you something to do but get you nowhere), but that, too, gets me nowhere. We've had some hard freezes here and things are dying. I guess it's time. Hope hubby continues to recover quickly. (Your sky looks perfect!!)
I hope the worst of Covid is over now for your husband. We are getting our shots later this month.
We have had enough rain luckily, unfortunately it is coming again this weekend. Love your new rug, really beautiful design and color choices. I am glad your husband is doing well. I have noticed each time I get it, it is less, so building up an immunity is good. Happy Anniversary!
they..."who are they" are this round of covid is less contagious. who knows but i an glad he is feeling better. i LOVE banana bread, thanks for the reminder, i must make some soon!!
I sure hope you don't catch the Covid bug from your husband.
I worry about a lot of things. I've tried not worrying but with no success.
I do the same worry about everything-it has been worse since Larry's accident-so I can relate.
I Love your sky-it came out perfect for this piece Foods sound delicious. I have been thinking of making sweet potato bread-I have one can left of organic sweet potato puree my recipe makes two loaves.
we don't see people much-so far covid has kept it's distance. we are getting cooler at nights now-may need to turn the heat on soon-ugh
Yes, it’s the same in our home. My husband has an expression he often uses when I express concern, “Your worrywart is showing” and I wondered if it was the same for you. We are expecting rain this weekend and soup is on my menu plan again as butternut squash soup was made this weekend, like in your home…so easy and delicious.
That sky looks fantastic. I am so glad your husband's Covid was milder this time -- always concerning with lung-related stuff. I need to get my vaccine this week. (My dad had a cat as a young man called 'Worrywart". I thought it a great name for a cat.)
Glad Husband's covid wasn't too bad. I used to be a worrier but I'm on medication now!
Hoping hubby is over the crud now. I put the flannels on the bed last night and sure glad I did. May have to turn on the furnace tonight. It is only in the low 60's right now with frost advisories tonight. Comfort food recipes will be coming out soon here as well. Love soups. Janice
Your hooked rug is looking fantastic, particularly the stone building!!! I haven't made banana nut bread in eons and that sounds really great. Might have to buy a few bananas and let them ripen to do the same thing for a change. Hope your husband is fully recovered now.
Oh you comfort foods sound so yummy...and, yes, comforting. Especially now that flannel weather has arrived. We had to switch on the (gas) fireplace this morning. Sigh.
I'm sorry. I might have misunderstood in the last post about his Covid. Here's to getting all the way better. Love the banana bread. Winner, winner. Leaves, I've sometimes left them. I've sometimes moved them into the garden boxes and other times I've mulched them right into the ground. Just depends on the year ๐๐๐ป๐ท️๐งก๐ธ️
