Another Day Another Snow Storm

It snowed for 24 hours we got only about 4 to 5 inches. But my fiber friends on the west side of the state 40 plus inches!!!! yikes!!!

I told you last post I was making the big purge from all the artificial sugars. I have discovered these and in recipes they are the best thing ever, Bonus! I have lost 2 lbs since Sunday just from getting rid of the crap.

These toes haven't seen the light of day since the last nice day last fall.
But they are all painted up and ready for an upcoming road trip.
Now I am not a big road trip person I think my father killed any joy in a road trip. We were 5 hours from my grandparents growing up. When it was time to visit it was ok pile in make sure you peed, and we have snacks there will be no stopping no getting out of this car until we are in your grandparent's driveway. There were 4 of us kids and a big lab who always came along. My father didn't mess around! And on the rare time we stopped it was at llbean's when all they sold were sporting goods lots and lots of fishing stuff, guns, and llbean boots (yes, I am that old)
This is a new adventure for us I will post up dates along the way. We should make our destination on the 3rd day. Taking our time but no big side trips.
We are blessed to have someone staying at the house and keeping an eye on things. Hopefully no more snow!
More updates to come.

You have cute toes. Where are you going that will take 3 days?

I will have to give those Green Giant "riced veggies" a try. Your toes look so cute. I hope you have safe and snowless travels and a great time once you arrive. See you again when you get back!

Well have fun!! I love road trips, but reading how yours was, my Dad did the same way. I had to laugh, because they really were terrible. Road trips with my husband are so nice, so I guess that is why I like them. Oh, goodness, snow, we have so much snow and rain and flooding and cold. We are having winter. Haha, I hope you go some place that you get to wear flip flops with your very pretty toes. My feel look like a Neanderthal. Cool you have already lost two pounds.
Have a wonderful fun trip.

We were on the lucky side yesterday too. Only about 3ish inches of wet stuff but friends like yours got dumped on! So excited for you to be going where those toes will be seeing sunshine! Lots of water in view and very very tall trees I hope! Wishing you Safe travels and pleasurable memories xx

Wow Cathy, 2 lbs in 3 days is fantastic. I can definitely afford to lose about 4 lbs and use to pride myself on coming home from rug camp and with getting back to my normal eating habits would continue being the same weight. Now I've slacked, a lot, and am like an addict with my handful of peanuts after lunch and sour dough pretzels at night. I need to shake those habits or at least one would help.
Have fun on your road trip.

Yikes. Looks like you dodged a snow bullet -- but that's plenty enough! Especially in March.

Good luck with the road trip. I think you'll have a great time!

We did vacations every year and I was in the Garmin in charge of the map. The only time I could not read the map was when we were in Quebec. We did learn fast though the words for ice, North, South East and West. Have fun on your road trip. Kudos for you on losing 2 lbs! Janice

You're heading to Whispering Pines Right?! Ha! I do hope it's someplace warm with no snow! You deserve a trip! I think you're toes looks lovely. It's a known fact in surgery that I loathe podiatry and feet but I'm giving yours a thumbs up! Congrats on the weight loss and getting the sugar out. I'm trying...hopefully success will follow. Have a good weekend and trip!

Yeah to road trips, although that one you described from your youth did sound like a bit of an ordeal. Growing up I can’t recall my family ever going on a road trip. Maybe that’s why I enjoy the ones that my husband and I take now. Hope your upcoming trip is a fun one and we’re going on a delayed one as well this coming week. It will onky take Bout 2 hours to travel to our destination where we will stay 3 days.
