"Quotes"

There is a quote for everything I think...And this one is true.

We see lots of sunrises this time of year. And while this one does not have lots of color I love that you can see the break of day and the moon looking on..

As I have said before we are redoing a spare bedroom to meet my needs for my rug hooking etc... The house is a mess but...

There is great progress, all the wallpaper is stripped, woodwork is painted, track is lighting installed. each track can hold 3 lights! I get to choose!

And this wall will have...

This cork installed! I will be able to hang my rugs, moved them around and change them anyway I want!
I am so excited,I have never had a room of my own that is just for me!

I am binding my dancing rabbits rug tonight and then it will be tucked away until Easter for Sweet B.
Deanne Fitzpatrick does a letter each Sunday.
And her quote I took today was:
"Comparison is not picking my pocket. "
Meaning the minute you start comparing yourself to others it takes away from yourself, your art, your soul. I have a very hard time with that.
I tend to compare my work to others and in the end it takes all the joy away at times.

Nothing smells better than baking bread. Oatmeal molasses yummm

I work 4 days a week and walk 4 miles on each of the other 3 days
This snowman on my route made smile. I love his eyebrows!

And this is a brook that runs the whole length of my walk. While we haven't  had much snow lately it is still pretty.

*****
Thanks for putting up with the quotes.
I will leave with this...
Have a wonderful week!

Love the quotes!
Warm here on the coast with very little snow.
Strange for Massachusetts at this time of year but we know its just the beginning of winter.
Enjoy your new hooking room...fill
it with fun and inspiring visual aids to make it your own "creative space"...you deserve it!!!

"Comparison is the thief of joy"...Theodore Roosevelt. One of my very favorites...very wise words! Your room is looking fabulous...how wonderful...a little nest of your own! Love the dancing bunnies.
Stay well.

That's a humdinger of a turtle on that trail and looks like he's making good tracks. I too like the sound of trickling water but at now, at my age it makes me want to go to the bathroom, lol. Miss B is going to love her Easter gift and you will not want to leave your hooking room ~ with a cork board wall no less, you lucky woman!!!!!

The room is looking good! Can't wait to see the finished product! Miss B will love that rug. It's so cute. I love bread...making it...smelling it as it bakes...and of course eating it! I made cinnamon raison bagels yesterday. They smelled heavenly too! I need to get back on my walking trail. I was doing good until the holidays but I need to get back since our Granddaughter is getting married in June and I want to look good!( Well, at least better! Ha!)

I am loving your quotes!
Walking 4 miles on your days off. Good for you!!! I am a fair weather walker and do not walk outdoors when it is cold, but then again I have never gone for a 4 mile walk even in good weather ;-)
Your room is going to be wonderful. Love the idea of the cork wall.
Miss B will absolutely LOVE her dancing bunnies rug.

I loved the quotes! I would be doing a happy dance to if I had a whole room to have for hooking, crafting, stitching. So glad you are able to have yours! I am very excited for you. Janice

I love to read quotes. I have found many a treasured saying to live by through quotes. I used to have some very old books that had translated these tried-and-true sayings from around the world, and some from England. One English one I especially liked and picked up was "Begin as you mean to go on."

I love quotes and the inspiration to try and live with the thoughts, in our daily lives. Love the snow on the mountains in the distance. A new room sounds great, I do need better lighting in mine, I just have one overhead light.

Hi Cathy,
Love your quotes and they are such good reminders for us!! Comparison is so dangerous and truly does steal our joy!! We need to just enjoy WHO WE ARE and our special uniqueness! I'm speaking to myself as I write this!!
Love your sweet bunny rug and so will Miss B!!! She will be dancing right along with them!
How wonderful for you to have a room all your own, filled with all your favorite things!!
Have fun "feathering your nest", Cathy!!!
Love all your beautiful scenery and enjoy those walks!!
Heart Hugs~

I also love the quotes. I have a journal filled with favorites that I have collected over the years. I got a new Rumi book of quotes for Christmas, so you may see a few of his words over at my place. A room of your own will be wonderful, but you will still cozy up by the fire to work. The dancing bunnies are wonderful!

It will be great to have your own room for rug hooking, Cathy, as we all need our own retreat space, just ask my husband who has a ham radio setup here in our apt! The bunny rug will surely make its recipient smile as it’s so cheerful. As a fellow NH resident, I am also missing snow and hopefully we will get some sooner vs. later.
