11 Years And Counting!

I think I should it seems I have collected everything else in the world! I have spend the most of my time weeding out stuff that was was in my room before we redid it. I do not want all that stuff back in!

We had a full wolf moon this week and was it ever pretty!
This is on my walk after work. We have had a very mild January and now it is so cold brrrr, we have been single digits but with wind chill well below zero. The good thing is it has made lots of ice on the lakes and ponds. Today was sunny and 20s there were people everywhere! fishing, wind surfing, playing hockey etc. If you are going to live in a cold climate you might as well enjoy it.

I got antsy today and hung a few more rugs up. They will need to be redone and I really don't have the right pins yet to hang them but, well I just had to.

I also need a level! But I am going to love it!

While cleaning out I found this picture of the three of us when we went to Jamaica and climbed the falls. Our daughter would have been 12 there, she will be 38 this year. Where have the years gone??

Celebrating 11 blogging years, it just does not seem possible.
so I am going to give away this little pillow. I hooked this some time ago but it got tucked away and never really finished, and a small heart box that I have up cycled and filled with sweets and cozy socks. There may be more surprises added.
All you have to do is leave me a comment on this post I will draw a name next Sunday (super bowl sunday! I will be rooting for KC I am mad at Tom Brady lol)
(you must contact me when I announce the winner to get your information)
I want to thank you all for your wonderful comments on my blog. I get so excited when I open up and there is a comment from someone.
I have met the most amazing people here on this blog and can't imagine my life without my weekly blog.
We are in for a snow storm Tues we shall see how it goes they have been wrong every time this year.
Husband goes for his 2nd shot tomorrow! we could not be happier about it!
Have a happy and healthy week

I am always amazed at your rugs! So happy to hear that your husband will have his second shot! Our second is scheduled for February 9th. We rarely have snow here; maybe a flurry or two overnight, so they say. Take care, be safe, and stay well!

I would be antsy to get those beautiful rugs hanging too. I love them all and could never choose a favorite. We will also be rooting for KC, but Tom Brady is kind of like February...always has a bag of tricks up his sleeves. We usually root for him, but not when he's playing KC. Take care and enjoy that snow storm! Yikes :~/

Your room is looking great.... Some beautiful hooking there....I love that flower and flag one...that's a Maggie B design, no? We had the most amazing wolf moon too....the sky was so very blue around it...and it looks like yours was too. Sadly, we only saw it for a night or two and then it (or what was left of its fullness) was obscured by clouds...that gave way to snow. Not much, but more on the way for Thursday I hear. Love the photo.... I know I haven't been following along all that long but when I saw the photo, I thought the little girl was Miss B..... Fun giveaway and whoever the lucky winner is will be very lucky indeed. While I love the treasures, I think I should "sit out" as I am a relative newbie to your blog. ~Robin~ (I will be cheering, like you, against Tom Brady....I "get" how good he is...but, dang! He beat our Packers!!!)

I need to speed up my weeding out but when I start it gets so overwhelming progress comes to a halt. You had the motivation to keep going since you had a remodel as the incentive. Your rugs look wonderful hanging albeit a tad crooked. Is that a Maggie Bonanomi design to the far right bottom? I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite because they are all nice.

This February marks 13yrs of blogging for me. I think I need a give-a-way but I also think I should do this in favorite month and also 13 is a good Halloween number to celebrate! Ha! You may get the snow we're sending East. It dropped about 6in. here and a few more today that I also will send your way! February is the shortest month but we usually have the worst weather. January was mild but so far it's starting out blustery and snowy this month. Take care and I hope your hubby gets that second shot isn't too hard on him.

Happy Blogaversary! And may there be many more years of your delightful blog. On your rug wall, I spy PANSIES! I love them! All the rugs are beautiful. Having grown up in the tropics and then living so many years in the desert, I admire those who can take the cold and as you say, enjoy it and play in it! Your giveaway is fantastic! Someone is in for a beautiful pillow and heart to cherish forever, and treats, too!

Amazing that you have been blogging for 11 years. Congratulations.

We have returned after an absence of six years and it is good to reconnect with so many wonderful people all around the world. In these uncertain times, it seems more necessary and needed than ever before to reach out and connect. As you say, one does make some wonderful connections, many of whom become friends.

Please do not include us in your most generous prize giving. We are in Hungary and the post would simply never arrive!

Keep on keeping on and stay safe.

Congrats, Cathy on your blog anniversary! Would love to have a cold walk in your woods. It's chilly here...down in the 30's last night and that's plenty cold for us. I was never a Brady fan....but....he has given our poor Bucs a much needed boost. My husband and daughter are beyond excited! Your room is wonderful...all that space just for you! Stay warm and healthy. R

Belated Happy Blog Anniversary, Cathy, and what a wonderful idea to celebrate with a giveaway. I know several other bloggers who have done the same. Please no need to include me in this special event as just congratulating you is my aim here. Thanks for showing photos of your beautiful rugs. They are so very colorful and really brighten up the walls of your now dedicated space.
Our recent snowfall was beautiful even more so because we could just enjoy it with no worries about shoveling which does take the joy away for many. I can imagine the walk in the woods was lovely too.
