Wooly thoughts

The sunrises have been pretty. This was much prettier in person.

And my walks a little chillier. ( someone is getting a jump on getting their sugaring equipment in)

Besides working 4 days a week I have pretty much been home.
I am dying some ugly wool. These colors are way off but the darker is the dyed, the original blue is much brighter.

And the green is much brighter and blue has some green in it. so hard to show colors! But I am much happier with it and will use it now.

Oh my bear, my beautiful bear!! He is almost done. I love working on him so I will hate to be done.

Husband and I are still walking at night when I get home from work. This was taken at work.
I work in a college town so there are people and lights but where we live very few people and no lights, but it is nice to see the night sky.

I broke down today and put my little village up in my step back cupboard. I love this village! When husband walked by he smiled to see it come to life again. It is a real mix of found things and somehow it is wonderful!

The little rubber stars I bought at a shop years ago you can take them off and slip them on another string of lights.

As it is around the country, here the covid numbers are frightening everyday. I work 4 days a week, come home shower and we stay here as much as we can. Our big family Christmas has been canceled and Thanksgiving is just us. We will see if we can see my daughter and family on Christmas day.
I am blessed in so may ways, I try to remember that at each disappointment and move on. I do a nightly journal of blessings it is amazing how many you have when you write them down.
Have a wonderful thanksgiving and stay healthy.

Where to begin? Guess first is how much you have accomplished on New Years Eve rug since you WORK and yours is BIGGER than mine and I DON"T work. Sheesh woman you are a hooking machine. Love your color choices and determination to hook the clock, albeit a wall clock instead of an alarm clock. I'll find the easy way out, lol.

Just learned my DIL has either the Flu or Covid. Doctor told her that if it is the flu it will last 7 days and if covid 10 days. Uh, they are in their 50s so more resilient to the CHINA virus or flu.

Obviously they aren't doing Thanksgiving this year and I'd not attend even if they did since I feel more secure in my cocoon. So glad you posted a picture of your rug on your blog.

Congrats on still walking outdoors. It is getting to cold for me. I am a certifiable wuss...lol!
Wonderful rug. What a fun pattern. Like Saundra said, you are a hooking machine. You have hooked that so quickly.
Your little village looks very festive. Love the lights!

I love your "Wooly Thoughts." It's that time of year, for sure. It's quite fun that you don't want to be finished with your wonderful bear. I should think he won't be far away. Of course, there must be a little village. Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without it.

We are being super careful about COVID here too. The virus seems to be out of control everywhere. Our Thanksgiving will be low key and just the three of us in our household. I love that Christmas village. I got my Christmas decorations up this weekend. I needed some extra cheer at the end of this week. See you again soon!

Even here in Atlantic Canada it is looking like we won’t be able to have our grown kids here from Montreal for Cmas. It’s sad but temporary. So many have lost lives and jobs. Stay safe. Love the re-dyes

Your rug looks wonderful. ow, you sure hooked it fast. What size cut did you use?
Good for you for still walking in the cold. I've become too lazy to walk every day. I walk to the mailbox and back. lol.

Your little village is really sweet. I love those star lights. I haven't decorated my house for Christmas yet and I may only decorate a few things, definitely, my nativity will go up.

I wish you a happy Thanksgiving even though it will be only the two of you. It is much better than being alone.

Stay safe and well.
Hugs, Julia

I love your Christmas village. I have some old Putz houses, too. Treasures! We are in lockdown in my state. I hope you stay well during this time of COVID.

What a beautiful village. It would make anyone smile! Coming along good on your rug. Love seeing how you and Saundra hook your take on it. Janice

Beautiful sunset....too chilly here to do much of anything already....and more snow on the way tonight. This is very old already LOL. I adore your sweet bear!!! I want a scarf just like his LOL. Anyone is a faster hooker than I, but you are EXTREMELY fast.....yikes! I am still plugging away on stitching my Salem Village piece as I know if I put it aside again, that will be the end of it likely for good. Your little village looks sweet and festive...having it comprised of found and collected things makes it all the more treasure-worthy. I do like the lights of the holiday and the greens always add a layer of "comfort," but I am not much in the holiday mood this year. Funny how this all affects us differently. I hear of so many that are more anxious than ever to decorate for Christmas as it brings them a bit of cheer...me, well, not so much I guess. But not sure how muchthat is because what is going around me, or something closer. Take care and Happy Thanksgiving to you as well. ~Robin~

Your bear is coming out beautifully, such a fun piece. I need to pull out the boxes this weekend, or get Bill to bring them up, then I can decide what I have and what to use, time for a yard sale. I have tons of cat ornaments and haven't been able to put up a big tree with the pets, so I put up unlreakables and let the boys do it. I do hate how it gets dark early, last week I had to rush our hike when I realized we had to get back before the sun set. Happy Thanksgiving!
