Easter Is Cancelled

I want to announce that Easter is cancelled for this year in our house. No bunnies.
                                                                         No Peeps
No fun. My husband and I have been very, very sick. I am talking a hospital stay, pneumonia, and assorted nasty stuff I will not share. We are just barely on the mend. I would not have the strength to host 18 people with the big meal, the egg hunt, etc. And the biggest thing is I do not want anyone to get this.
So We will go to church and quietly go home and call it a day. My friend Priscilla is amazing when she found out we were sick she brought stacks of groceries will all the right kinds of food you need when you are sick. Soup, crackers, drinks, fresh fruit. I am so blessed to have her as a friend and she is a rug hooker so could it get any better? I hope you all are well and I will get around to visit you.

Sorry you have both been so sick. Priscilla sounds like a wonderful friend to look after you. Rest up this weekend and knock those bugs senseless.

I've been thinking of you after your last email. I'm so sorry you guys are so sick. I know I got on the Z pack just in time! This is one nasty bug! Lovely friend to bring you the care packages. Just get better so I can hook with you in a week or so!
Maybe you could have one peep, or a chocolate bunny when the appetite picks up! Until then, keep the fluids going, get good books delivered, and rest up!
Hugs to you both!

Dear Cathy,
I will keep you and Hubby in thought and prayer! This is serious stuff going around. My 30 year old nephew is going through it now and scary how sick he got. His wife is a nurse and made him go to ER. He is on meds now too.
You take care and keep us posted when you feel up to it!
What a kind and loving friend Priscilla is......
Hugs!

Cathy, I'm so sorry that you and hubby have been so ill. I'm glad you have such a great friend to help take care of you. Such a wonderful blessing! This has been the hardest winter for many people. I was hoping for warm and sunny this Easter since it's so late, but alas, the best laid plans don't always go our way! So stay home, warm, filled with the good food of friends and the spirit of Easter...even if it's just a quiet one.

Take care, Nancy
