I do not run but I do walk abut 3 hilly miles a day. I am trying to get my stamina back after a winters rest. There are times when I am so tired I wonder if it is all worth it. (It is)
See that white thing?? That smoke detector is on the cathedral ceiling of our bedroom. It was beeping so time to change the backup battery. That takes a ladder so while my husband was up there, I gave him a duster and a rag. voila clean!
In a very short time, my germaniums are starting to green up.

I told you boring I have been cleaning and planning the rug I am going to hook in Michelle Palmer's class next week.
Tomorrow, we have more crappy weather coming in it just never seems to stop.
Now to figure out what we are having for dinner. We shared a steak and cheese sub for lunch, and we are both feeling pretty full.
I told you boring.
Have a great week!

I also try to walk at least 3 miles a day. AND my zinnia seeds are coming up! And our columbine are blooming like crazy. It might seem boring to others but I don't care, LOL!
A class with Michelle Palmer sounds fantastic! She is a wonderful artist. I can't wait to see what you make!
Why is that smoke detector on the ceiling and not on a wall? All of my detectors are on the wall, thankfully. God forbid if I had a cathedral ceiling as I'd need to call the fire department to change the back up battery when it beeped.
Good for you - walking on hills is not easy! I walk on my treadmill, but do put the incline up!
That's a lot of work to change the batteries. Good plan to get some dusting done while up there.
I bet that class will be fun.
Crummy weather here too!
I haven't been able to walk since breaking my foot and I really miss it! Can't wait to get this walking cast off and start walking again. Our house in Arizona had cathedral ceilings and lots of smoke detectors and it was hard to even figure out which one needed the battery replaced. Your wood ceiling looks beautiful, and now it is all clean! So glad that your geraniums are coming back. We have not had very good weather this week either, and I am looking forward to more warm, spring-like temperatures next week. See you again soon!
Other people's day to day isn't boring, though it may seem so to the people living it! I know friends in a retirement community who get the fire department out annually to change all their batteries, because they have those huge great rooms with 20 foot ceilings where the smoke alarms are. Nobody has a ladder long enough, or is able to climb that high! Planning, huh?
All my smoke detectors are on the ceiling, but I only have 8’ ceilings.
Thanks for another reminder about the geraniums. I am going to write myself a note 🤦♀️
Our guild education person is going to try to get in touch with Michelle about teaching in a year or two or whenever she is available. I know you have said what an excellent teacher she is.

Like "Boud" said, "other people's day to day isn't boring"...at least to other people. I love seeing a "peek" in other people's worlds. We've had crappy weather as well...Really crappy. Stay warm..and cozy...and safe.
Walking three hilly miles is no small feat (pun intended). As for boring post? I don't consider ordinary days boring and I like hearing about others who also have ordinary days.
YAY glad your geraniums are popping up. They were so beautiful last year. Janice
Love this glimpse of your life. Thank you for sharing.
I hate it that smoke detectors are so high up! (And that one is a doozie!) It sure makes them hard to replace the batteries!
Pandemonium hits when our detectors either go off or need battery changing. That beeping...(lol). What's for dinner? Question of the day - every day.
Walking is great! I live in a very hilly neighborhood and I have a steep street to start out on. It's hard to start out a walk that way without a warm up. That's my excuse. But I do walk on Thursdays with a few gals from my hooking group. We do three miles around the harbor.
Life is good when you have something to look forward to like a class with Michele Palmer.
I agree with the others who wrote, not boring. Feels like a nice visit with a friend. Our smoke detectors are high up on our walls. They are supposed to give a quieter signal when batteries are low but nope. They will screech at 2 a.m. STARTLING!! I’m looking forward to finding my geraniums for this summer just to save them over winter!( weird,I know)
It is important to walk every day - don't give it up! I like to have smoke detectors, but they batteries are so hard to change - cute that you got your hubby to clean. Have fun at your class.
A look into others' lives is never boring, just different than our own. I too try to walk daily although for the winter weather mine has been indoors =either on a gym treadmill or in the apt hallways.
make the best of these last 4 weeks, you will be glad you did. get your inside stuff done so when it warms up you can be outdoors!! i try to walk everyday but have MS which affects my ability to walk!!
Hi Cathy! Your post wasn't boring at all. I love, love, love that you gave hubby a rag while he was up there. Go you!
I also need to get back to walking. It's worth it like you mentioned.
Cheers and Happy Weekend!
