I have not walked much all winter for one reason or another.
I told myself that I was exercising (off and on) and running up and down the stairs I was good!
Well, that was not true at all. I took my first walk the other day and by the time I walked the last hill I was dragging, and I mean dragging! Today I was up and out early to yoga and then I walked. I will sleep very well tonight (I hope).
I dropped two bags at the thrift store and well I had to take a walk around. I found the cosmetic bag for travel and the plastic tablecloth I will use at Easter, both for 1.00.
And this runner,
it is hard to see all the amazing hand work in this for 2.00.
We had an ice dam back up between these two skylights.
It has been good for years, but this year it is unusually hard with the amount of snow and ice we have had. I am very thankful for young men who climb 40ft ladders with a roof rake it to break the dam. We will get billed for it; I sent them off with a bag of cookies I baked the day before. Funny how happy they were to get the cookies.
Husband's youngest brother turned 60. His wife invited just the brothers and sister for dinner and cake. Oldest to youngest left to right. (husband 2nd from the left) It really was so nice we laughed and played cards a nice afternoon.
We came home to a cold kitchen and family room. Called this morning to have a tec come out and it ended up being a faulty thermostat.
I finally got a leaf hooked that I like. I have put in and pulled out so many
.
I have lunch with my daughter tomorrow. Wed I have rug hooking, Th I have the watercolor class, plus we are watching the grand dog while they go away. And it is going to warm up all week. I see lots of walking with the grand dog this week.

I want to thank you for all the lovely comments. I am very thankful for my lovely life. I am thankful for all of you.
Have a wonderful week!!

It sounds like a perfect birthday gathering for your brother-in-law. I love your table runner find from the thrift store!
Great meme again! It is easy to get out of shape. It comes back one step at a time as you know.
I love that first meme. Attitude makes a big difference. I walk on the treadmill but am still dragging when I walk outside.
Glad you had that nice outing with your hubby's family.
I like the leaf!
Let's not talk about exercise, ok?? LOL.... I am sorely lacking in that department but I am so limited in what I can do by my AS and PA, I'm claiming an exemption. ;-) It sounds like you have a fun-filled week ahead. You'll have to tell us how you like your water color class. That would be something I'd be interested in doing but I don't know of any in these parts and, yikes, I don't need another craft/hobby to dabble in. I do a little playing with watercolors when I do my spun cotton, etc., but will be the first to admit I could do with more formal training. Love that hand-worked dress scarf...The hours that must have gone into that! So sad it ended up at GW but glad you rescued it and will give it the appreciation it is due. ~Robin~
Yes indeed, a lot of handiwork in that linen piece. This has been the harshest winter I can recall in years. Yet today it reached the normal temp for us at 51* and tomorrow will be the same with clouds and sun in and out. BUT, night time and next week it is cold again.
A trip to the thrift store is always a fun thing. Hit or miss but anticipation is always there for me. I am seriously lagging in the exercise dept. I walk down the hall. Haha. Thanks for sharing.
I force myself to get on the “dreadmill” almost every day.
It is sad to see all the beautiful old linens that you can hardly give away.
Busy week ahead for you. Enjoy every minute of it. My week consists of a hooking guild meeting (Yeah! Last month’s was canceled because of the bitter cold) and an oil change…a necessary evil!
Your rug is looking good.
Rugs and Pugs
I didn't exercised much either and even put on a bit of weight. I'm so enjoying this spring like weather. I'm done with winter. I've been purging stuff and I don't miss anything.
Having family celebration is the best. I had family visiting for a couple of days last week and I so enjoyed it.
Take care, spring is just around the corner.
Hugs, Julia
Don't you just love thrift stores!!! I like your finds a lot...especially that runner.
Luckily it was a faulty thermostat and not the furnace itself!
Have a great week💜💙💛
