I can usually find something to blog about, but I got nothing!
Bay leaf plant I purchased last summer seems to be surviving. And yes, I pluck some when I need them.
My mother has been gone 16 years and still her African violet keeps blooming.
A scraggly kalanchoe is going to bloom. (not sure if the spelling is correct)
My Christmas cacti is still going.
I dyed more wool
A spot dye.
And I made chocolate crinkle cookies for the first time. They are a keeper.

Everyone is sick of talking about snow, the cold, the crazy wind, the price of eggs/groceries and asking how close we are to spring.
I have cooked every dinner I know how and a few I didn't.
I had yeast die on me this week 2x chatted with king Arthur Flour they felt it was the brand-new yeast I had that was the problem, I bought new yeast.
I am in a mid-February slump.

On another note, I had the loveliest comments on my last blog post. You lovely people are the reason I keep blogging. Please tell me what you are doing to keep going this mid-February.
Have a wonderful rest of your week.

I make the chocolate crinkle cookies each Christmas. I love them! I love your wool! I need to find a new online store to buy wool since the last one I use to purchase from is going out of business. I dont have stores here to just go buy wool from. Any suggestions for an online store if you use one? Janice
I made a great supper, tofu sticks, crunchy and a dipping sauce. My day's highlight! It was good though.
You said and showed us a lot for someone who had nothing to post about, lol.
That meme is perfect! It’s that time of year! We are all so tired of the bitter cold, snow and wind. Have a great weekend.
Sometimes it really is hard to know what to blog about, but you did good! I love the meme!
Your thumb is much greener than mine. I can't keep things alive in the house, they do fine outside! I love that you still have your moms african violet.
The cookies look so good!
Those chocolate crinkle cookies look good. And that meme is perfect for me - when someone asks what I have been doing - my mind goes blank - yet I am always busy.
The cookies look yummy. Wow, you are good with plants. I love that your mom's African violet is still going strong. This is my least favorite time of the year - it's cold and gray and dreary, but I am looking forward to spring. I know it will come eventually. See you again soon!
I made oatmeal cookies this morning. loved seeing your pretty blooms
Sometimes the most interesting posts are the ones of common every day things...like what you've been cooking/baking, your houseplants, etc. But I do know what you're saying. I think that's why I used to enjoy the "old blogging days" where someone would host a "chain"....picking a particular general topic and those wishing to join in could. Anyway...just remember that what seems boring to you, isn't likely boring to us. And sometimes it's just nice to know there's someone "out there." ~Robin~
You are not alone in your lament, Cathy, as a previous commenter correctly said, people blog about what they enjoy, where they live, their feelings, cooking, books, experiences, travel. In short, whatever strikes them as things they want to share with others. The problem may be in posting too often as some bloggers do so daily and maybe that causes burnout? Speaking for myself, I am limiting my posts. Many become long and it takes me longer to write them and I don’t expect others to have the time or desire to read several a week. I am also limiting my blog commenting, not reading. I enjoy catching up on what others are doing but cannot comment on every post, especially the daily ones.
Feb is my least fav month. Always has been. Not really sure why. I had some Alyssum outside the kitchen door I took a little pleasure from seeing it out there. Yesterday it was gone....gophers. It really upset me.
Your plants are happy and you have been productive in your dyeing and baking. I love that you shared this things. I get uplifted and motivated reading blogs and what seems like not much to share always touches someone.
