Homemade Christmas

We got about 3 inches of snow overnight last night. There have been so many ups and downs from pouring rain and high 40s to below zero windchill coming this weekend.

I thought I would show you some of the Christmas things I have made over the years. of course I am a rug hooker. I hooked this santa a few years ago. I see things I would do differently but that is how it goes.

We made this wooden crate into a little house. I glued some lights in the window voila Christmas!

I made a lampshade years ago from old christmas cards.

This wooly wreath, I think I need to change out the oranges they have turned very dark over the years.

I made this santa many many years ago.
It was my first jump into crafts.

*****
This was us with our Sweet B on the santa train. The years have ticked by so fast it seems like a blink.

I scraped our driveway and cleaned the walkways.
After I came in I got a bowl of soup and finished my book.
It was a fun read with time travel.
I now have my feet up watching old movies and nodding off now and then, a good day.
Happy Solstice we now return to the light.

After I finish a rug I always seem to find something I wish I’d done differently. Wish I’d notice before it was finished but guess I’m a.ways in a hurry to get to the next one. Sweet cabin you made.

You are one crafty lady with a great many talents. I remember you hooking the rug and making the little house. I always seem to want to do some new holiday craft and, yet, I always get the urge when it IS the holidays and time is at such a premium. We are getting a dumping of snow today. Last I heard it was supposed to be 5-10". So we will have a white Christmas. (Like that is ever a question in Nod LOL...). Wanna come and clean my driveway and walk?? ;-) ~Robin~

I love your crafts. That rug is incredible!
It's been snowing all afternoon here, after rain yesterday...
I'm looking forward to longer days too!

Homemade is always so very special. You are so talented. We got 2 inches of snow today, but the temps are expected to rise and we probably wont have snow for Christmas.

You are such a talented craftsperson in so many ways. I love all that you shared. We got about three inches of snow today. I'm not sure what Christmas predictions are -- I guess I'll find out soon enough!
