Bluebirds At My Window

"Do you have any more of those tasty worms left?"

We have never had so many bluebirds at our feeders ever!
And we are so excited!!!

Husband has been under the weather and decided to do the bluebird puzzle we had that had never opened. It became very appropriate puzzle.

We have had a couple of small snow storms and we are in a cold snap. Really really cold with a wind chill. 2 degrees F this morning brrrrr. So bread seemed a good thing to make.

Our sunset on solstice eve. A very cold long night.

Since I am done all shopping I am staying way away from the stores.
But a little store in the next town that has an eclectic mix of old and new was having an open house. There were only a couple of us in the store. While I could of bought lots and lots of lovely things most were out of my price range. I did purchase some cacao tea. Martha Washington's chocolate shell infusion. Martha Washington enjoyed this tea every morning for breakfast. George wrote this to his agent,
"She will thank you to get 20 lbs of the shells of cocoa nuts,if they can be had of the chocolate makers." It has a very light chocolate taste. I use no sugar only a drop of cream. It is very good and would purchase it again.
We are meeting up with our daughter and family tomorrow evening for a lovely dinner out. We love any time we can spend with them.
***
I want to wish you all a lovely Christmas or Hanukkah.
I hope you get to celebrate in the way you love.
Sending Holiday hugs.

Merriest of Christmas Wishes Cathy. Bluebirds are such beautiful birds. I was so happy to see a few this spring/summer but they are long gone. All we have left are the noisy blue jays and crows...and owls. That tea sounds enticing. I've never met a tea I liked (other than iced tea) but that is something I would actually try. I am not very much regretting my procrastinating ways. I had things pretty much planned out to the minute and tomorrow was to be my grocery run. I didn't do it earlier as there were things that wouldn't have kept fresh. But we are now under a winter weather advisory...not just snow either....ice also. What the heck. I just pray it's not like the one Christmas where we had a horrible ice storm that left our whole area without power for days....and that was back before we had a generator. Stay warm and cozy and enjoy your time with your daughter and family. ~Robin~

That tea sounds wonderful! Long ago we had a bluebird that would see its reflection in a window in our door. Every morning at 4:00 am he would get in a fight with it, scratch his way down the window, rest on the doorhandle and then start all over again. It was cute the first 3 mornings, then not so much. The 4th morning I threw the door open and it scared him so bad to see such a big mad person that it never came back.

The bluebirds are so pretty - I see them occasionally here but they’re quick in passing. Maybe I need a bluebird feeder. I’ve heard of the tea - I’ll have to try it! Perfect on these chilly winter evenings. Enjoy your quiet time - puzzles and home made bread sound terrific - Merry Christmas to you as well!

I have never seen a bluebird in person. Lucky you and how cool you had a bluebird puzzle. The way hubby laid out the pieces, he must be very methodical.
Your feather tree with vintage ornies is very sweet.
Enjoy your family time making memories.
Merry Christmas ;-)
