Full moon was so beautiful this past week.
I took a walk to try to see it better. Things are so quiet here especially after dark.
Sat I went out and about with my dear long time friend.
We shopped a couple of thrifts and a church sale.
This is perfect for my halloween dress up each year.
It is a reproduction but it is thick and heavy cotton. I have one kind of like it. I have had it for over 30 years. So for 5.00 perfect.
When we replaced this kitchen window we took down my vintage shutters I had up, well years later I got them out of the shed vacuumed and washed them. Husband put them up for me. I had forgotten how much I love them.
Husband is on the mend thankfully. I had some blueberries to use up and husband loves blueberry muffins.
I had just over a tablespoon of this left over so I put it in the batter.
Yummmmmmmm It was a good move! I use this jam for a lot of things. I warm it up and put it over vanilla ice cream too among other things.
As most of you know I have been decorating for Christmas like a mad woman. Well in my down time I have been watching old christmas movies. This is from 1931 and I think the best one. I love this story. I have a whole stack of movies I must watch over the holiday. I will list them if anyone is interested.

We have an ongoing chat on messenger with 4 of us. It is close friendships, we talk every day and some days several times a day.
Well today we each were doing something Christmassy lol.
They are a creative bunch.
Have a wonderful Week
Oh no humbug here!

Too funny. I have that exact same coverlet that I have had for MANY years!
What is the name of the 1931 Christmas movie, please?
I would love your list of Christmas movies. I have a few that must be watched every year. I guess it's about time to start.
I normally don't begin to decorate until after Thanksgiving, but this year, since it is so late in November, I just may start earlier. I will have to work around all my turkeys...lol!
You did great on your thrift shopping!
I really like your shutters.
I'd love to see your list of movies!
I have a group of four women and we just text back and forth all day.
I am glad your husband if feeling better.
Those blueberry muffins looked so good.
Hope you get your Christmas decorations finished.
I think that the one day when the clouds were broken up I managed to see the full moon. Now we're back to solid clouds and rain.
A heavy cotton throw for $5 is a great find. And now back to Christmas decorating. Looking forward to pictures.
Love blueberries and blueberry muffins, especially a little warm. Nice blanket, particularly for $5. Actually I've gotten sick of seeing Christmas ads on tv for over a week now and with still a month to go until Christmas day I will be humbug.
The old shutters are incredible and a perfect addition to your home.
I love the moon pictures. I've never thought of putting a little jam in muffin batter. I will have to give that a try! You always find fun things at thrift stores. Great shutter! See you again soon!
The moon was glorious, wasn't it? I'm so grateful that it was last week... Had it been this week, we would not have seen it. Blustery and miserable. Love the new necklace - it will be perfect. The red coverlet is great...I had one years back...it was in the "country blue" color...and was full of snags so was not sad to see it go. But yours I love. I love blueberry muffins too. Is that sea salt on top of yours or sugar? I love the 1931 version of A Christmas Carol too but my very favorite version is the one with George C. Scott...and it isn't Christmas until I've watched it at least once. ~Robin~
Blueberry muffins sound perfect for a late fall morning and we also like that blueberry jam, Cathy. Glad to read that your husband is feeling better.
I have some old green shatters that looks similar to yours, only mine have a moon cut out in them. Good reminder for me to get them out and find a spot for them.! The old movies are the best, I have a few newer favorites, but the classic old ones can’t be beat. And those muffins look great, what a good idea to put jam in!
