AND JUST LIKE THAT...

The beautiful leaves slipped away.
While it is a beautiful day in the 60s, we are having pretty cold nights.
A nice long walk felt sooo good this morning.

When the leaves go it reveals the blue piping for the maple sap that will run in the early spring.

More rugs from my rug camp.

It is almost November time to say Rabbit Rabbit before getting out of bed Nov 1st for lots of good luck for the month of November.

Maybe sometime in my hooking life I will try a monochromatic rug.

The flowers are 3D on this rug. So sweet.

This rug was a pretty large rug.

I love this rug getting ready for winter lol.

I am reading an old M.C. Beaton book about A Scottish police officer. I picked it out of our reject pile at work. (Broken binding) I am enjoying it and it makes me smile a bit. Kind of perfect for me right now.
Boo! Happy Halloween!

I loved that top rabbit rug by Cindy Irwin and of course the house with a thatched roof was a great rug by her too. Yes, quite chilly but have heard it will/might get up to 70* in a couple days. I'll take it!!!!!

Beautiful rugs! I love how fun and creative they all are. Our fall leaves around here are "taking leave" as well. The book sounds fun. Do you work in a bookstore? That would be my dream job, I think - that or a library. I hope you have a good week. We are expecting a snowstorm. See you again soon!

The rugs are all beautiful. My favorites are the rabbits and the village scene with Santa in the night sky. The English cottage is also interesting as it looks like the road is appliqued.

Happy Halloween.
Hugs, Julia

I'd never heard that you're supposed to say "Rabbit Rabbit" on Nov. 1st before getting out of bed! Ha! Love it and will do that for sure! I need all the good luck I can muster up. The rugs are beautiful and so is your walking route even without leaves. Ours are almost gone and we had a beautiful weekend with warmish days and cold nights. A little frost on the pumpkins this morning! Have a good week.

O one crocheted a monochromatic all gray afghan for my brother and his wife. They wanted it to be a queen size I got so tired of the grays that it actually took me 2 years to complete. It was the joke in the family on when I would ever get it done for each holiday we celebrated. We are supposed to get rain this evening and tomorrow, so I suppose our leaves will be gone too. It has been really foggy these past few nights. So love all of the rugs. Still amazes me how many talented folks there are out there. I wish I could find a rug hooking group near me. It would be fun and I probably would get more done. LOL Janice

So does the maple sap run through the blue piping replacing the sap buckets normally hung on the tree?
Never heard of saying Rabbit, Rabbit. I better say it a day early because I most likely will not remember in the morning...lol.

You made a great choice in what you wanted to be for Halloween. I plan to catch up on some reading this winter. It is sad to see the beautiful leaves go. As I read somewhere, every leaf looks as though it is celebrating. That's how it was here today. It was probably the peak for fall colors.

I am hoping I can get one more weekend with foliage, but at least it will be nice and warmer, so we can enjoy being outside.
Love the beaver rug too.

Funny, but we were both the same on Halloween as I made a cup of cinnamon tea and sat and read for a couple of hours. The Hamish MacBeth series by Beaton are fun reads sith an interesting set of characters. The beautiful autumn leaves are turning to browns and piles on the ground here too, but the walks are wonderful in the balmy temps. More lovely rugs and too pretty to walk on.
