What A Difference A Week Makes

Last weekend I was worried about frost. Last Sat morning was 39 degrees!

This weekend 93 oh what a difference. This is the road I walk on most days always pretty, but very buggy this morning.

Last week I was talking to my aunt on the phone and this male scarlet tanger came to our feeder. I am tearing the kitchen apart to find my phone to take a picture. Yes the same phone I was talking on uggg.

Our Sweet B had her dance recital today and we were able to attend.

She is growing much to fast and will be in the 5th grade this fall.

Not a lot to blog about, the cows on my walk seemed happy

My gardens are getting pretty.

and smelling pretty nice.

I have put a lot of work into them the past 2 years. So I am very happy they are doing well.

I got to hook a little bit this week her dress is done.

This past week we ate out in a restaurant. I am appalled at the price of our meals and add a tip it is crazy!  Before covid we would go out once a week, I will tell you that will not happen after covid. I know their costs have gone up and they really struggled but yikes! I know my grocery bill has gone up too. Not sure how you feed teenage boys right now it is so expensive!
Ok I am done complaining.

Have a wonderful week!

I love that you were able to attend your granddaughter's recital. We have gotten take-out, but haven't actually eaten out yet. We may do just that for our anniversary next week. Your flowers are lovely. Hope the coming week is a good one for you. See you again soon.

I stared at the second photo B is in and noticed how much more elegantly poised she is than the other girls. Beautiful flowers and I can smell them here, lol.

Sweet Miss B. looks so grown up and poised in the photo. She has the built of a ballerina. I'm glad that you were able to attend her recital.

The humidity and heat make all the garden grow so fast and things are blooming but my Peonies are still in buds. Gardening is really time-consuming but I love it.

Have a great week.
Hugs, Julia

That first picture of Miss B in her dance outfit is too precious. She sure is growing up.
That is so funny about the phone. I have already looked for mine (more often than I care to admit) when I, too, am talking on it.
Beautiful flowers!!! A flower garden is a labor of love.

Miss B is positively stunning in her dance apparel! Those long, graceful, legs will be the envy of dancers and models alike. Beautiful! And speaking of beautiful...ahhh, you know how I love your road! I love peonies...they will forever remind me of the front flower garden at our farm growing up. They were my grandmother's and then my mother's. Wish I could have some of them to treasure now. We are still hot and sticky, so I am slowly acclimating LOL. Have a good week! ~Robin~

Miss B is getting so grown up! What a lovely young lady. I'm glad you were able to attend the recital. I'm so happy things are getting back to more normal. We haven't eaten out at a restaurant yet but my son is coming to visit and we may go out for the first time in a year. Thanks for your sweet email. I'm doing good and slowly getting back to normal as well!

This weather is crazy, was too hot today and tonight a cool breeze and back to heat tomorrow.
Miss B has gotten so big and looks wonderful at her recital.
I think, not much going on is a good way to be these days, nice to just unwind and relax for a bit.

Miss B looked lovely in the photos you posed from the dance recital, Cathy. She is growing up quickly just like our younger family members (sigh). You are so right about the rising costs of eating out and grocery shopping. Of course, we dine out when on a road trip, but never for 3 meals a day, perhaps one late lunch or early dinner and breakfast a quick meal.

Yes, the prices are just sky-high to eat out. I told my husband, "Just give up about the prices, because they are all crazy now." I am so glad Miss B is in Dance. Several of the girls at our school are in Dance, too, and it gives them such a good feeling and outlet that is safe. What precious costumes they had at their recital!

Awwww.... Miss B looks so elegant in her dance outfits! :-)
We have quite a bit of gnats out this season... and they always manage to find my eyes and nose! lol!
Yes.... everything is super expensive these days.... I have no idea how long it will take for the economy to recover from Covid....

I so enjoyed catching up on your blog, Cathy. I love the pictures you post. Our flowers are beautiful this year too. Although, I can't take any credit for it. Doug loves to garden. We went out to eat the other night for the first time in forever. Service was slow and the prices high. Don't think we'll be making a habit of that. Hope all is well with you.

Blessings,
Dianne
