Last post you read about our 4 day vacation to my sweet rug hooking roomie AKA my husband's cousin and the beach.
I came home and our women's group met. There were 11 of us I think 5 were missing. We have not seen each other for 18 months! lots of hugs lots of catching up. These are some incredible women, I love them all. So blessed to be part of this group.
We gathered at our host's (she took the picture) home just a lovely view and sunset.
Then we were blessed with our grand Sweet B for a couple of days.
She has been wanting to ride so that is what we did!
She had no idea where we were going until we pulled into the ranch.
She has not stopped smiling and yes I think there is lots more riding in her future. That guy decided to stop and eat, got a little stubborn.
Our guide verbally gave her some instructions, she fully handled it! The guide was really impressed.
Well riding is hot work so off we went for a little hike to our favorite swimming spot.
Not a bad view there either. Squam Lake, it was chilly but of course it didn't stop her.
(Not My Picture) It was summer solstice so we had to see if the faeries came to dance. (also known as fireflies) and yes they did! We had spent a little time fixing faerie houses from the winter damage Sunday night so they were all ready for them to move into. The best part of having a grand child is the magic, she has loved faerie houses for as long as I remember so our woods are scattered with them. And even though she is older in her heart she wants to believe, me too....
Today was over cast so we headed for the Science Center.
While we have been there thousands of times it is always a joy. Just as we were leaving it started raining.
We met her Mom half way and sent her on her way. Can't wait for the next sleep over.
And in between all of this we went to a vintage market.
We saw old friends and bought a white enamel tray and called it a day. I was very disappointed with this market while there were some really old merchandise there was a lot from China not really a vintage market to me.
Oh yes there was father's day in there too! I got him a wood burning tool, I can't wait to use it teeehee. He also has a birthday this Friday.

Your week has been filled with lovely moments. Nice adventure with the horse riding. She such a lucky girl to have you as grandparents.
I hope that the rest of the week is as nice for you.
HUgs, Julia
So glad you had fun with sweet B and that you went riding! WOW its been that long since your friends have gotten together. Kuddos to those who were able to make it. Our state has lifted all of our restrictions now, so we will be able to enjoy friends and family again like we use to now. What a year and a half it was. Janice
What fun grandparents you guys are! My Granddaughter loves horseback riding and takes lessons but she lives in Oregon and no way to join her! I'm glad you had a wonderful time with Miss B. Great memories she'll never forget. Isn't it nice to see old friends and family again? Just makes life much better. Have a good week!
I LOVE my grandson and wish my DIL was able to have more children so she could give me a granddaughter to dote on. When she was pregnant I started buying things planning on her having a daughter. Lucky you; but know if your daughter had a son you'd love him as much as I love Zach.
It's so great that we are finally able to see the people we care about most and do the things we love. Looks like you had such a great week. I hope this week is a good one as well. See you again soon!
Looks like a fun week and riding with Miss B, I am sue was the best. I love seeing the boys joy when we take them places.
Hopefully we can get up there for some weekends later on, easier with the RV to just get in and go.
Debbie
Wow...that has been a whirlwind of a week and then some Cathy!! I'd be exhausted. But, yes, yes...the solstice and the faeries!! For many things, one is never to old to believe as long as the heart believes. You will have to share some of the fairie houses with us sometimes. Ad fireflies I think are one of God's most precious gifts. They never seem to fail to bring a smile to my heart. ~Robin~
What a wonderful post! So full of happy things. Especially a sweet granddaughter and fairy houses. I believe too!
How wonderful to get together with your gal pals! I'm sure a good time was had by all.
Miss B looks like an equestrian to be. Good for her.
Our really big "vintage market" in Cleveland held twice a year should be renamed the Chinese market. Not much vintage and usually quite pricey.
Your post made me smile and smile! How wonderful to see the rug hooking friends, the old friends after a separation due to COVID and best of all, your granddaughter! What a joyous thing it must be to have a grandchild! Thank you for sharing this post. I too am impressed by her riding ability!
You're never too old to believe in faeries! :-)
Lovely pictures. So happy you were able to get together with friends once again. I cannot wait to get back to of the normal activities. Love all of those pictures. Especially the horse ones :)
Oh what a wonderful time- all of it! I have noticed in the one or two vintage sales I’ve attended that it’s been slimmer pickin’s. I think partially because no yard or estate sales last year. Not that I need anything. It’s fun to look.
