And The Winner Is...

We had the most amazing sunrise, this was just before the snow came in. We didn't get much snow but this sunrise was worth it!
Click on the picture to make it larger and see the color going up into the sky.

And just a couple of inches more snow today. My daughter and grand have had the best time skiing on this new snow this weekend. It is good to enjoy the winter.

It was also pond hockey weekend here in the Lakes Region.
There were 270 teams. This is not my picture someone who took this at day break. Before all the action.

Usually it is very carnival like with food and things to do all over the ice but because of covid there was none of that.

Husband was so good to help me reconfigure my cutters in my new rug room. Yes I have 4 cutters. I only purchased 2 of them and paid a total of 50.00 for the two I did buy. The best thing not having to change blades hardly at all.

I also took some of my larger pieces of wool and got them organized on the shelves.

And another organizing plus, husband put this peg board up. What a wonderful use of such a small space! I love my room! When I am all done I will do a video walk around of the room.

Because I have been weeding out and organizing I have not picked up my hook much this week. But Herb Angel is looking pretty good.
I did buy a new hook this week that would stick to my magnet but I still prefer the feel of my hartman hook not much spent so it is ok, I had to try.

While cleaning out the closet I found my wish-nick from when I was a kid. A little worst for wear but he is my new mascot in my rug room. I remember being so thrilled when I got him. It didn't take much to make me happy.

And the winner is the Merry Needle! Email me with your info I would love to get it in the mail tomorrow for you.

I get my second vaccine Wed morning both husband and best friend got theirs last week and did ok with it. I hope I do as well.
Have a wonderful healthy week!

Good Golly, I was blog hopping tonight instead of f-o-o-t-b-a-l-l so I popped over here when I saw you had a new post up, but I did not expect to win your wonderful giveaway! I am so excited! What a treat! Thank you! And what a great room. I look forward to your video walk-through. It's so nice to have a room where you can work freely on your projects, and even better when the room is cozy and pretty as yours is.

Wow that was a beautiful sunrise. I love your new rug room. That will be such a fun place for you to hang out. The pond hockey sounds like fun - bet it will be even more fun when this whole Covid thing is over. Hope you do well with the second vaccine. I get mine on Friday. Have a good week.

It all looks wonderful. I hope that this new hooking room will bring you much joy with your hooking projects. To have one good cutter is a luxury but to have 4 is Delux.
I'm looking forward to the video tour.

I hope that you have a fantastic week.

Hugs,
Julia

Sunrise, sunset...both beautiful but I love the rising more than the setting! Your room is really a great space for a wonderful hooker like you! I'll look forward to the video. It may be the inspiration I need to get my spaces in order. It's cold here and more snow but each day is a step toward Spring and I've noticed it's lighter later...until almost 6pm! All good! I'm hoping we can get our vaccines soon. Supposed to get them after the 8th but will just have to wait in line I guess! Take Care Cathy!

What a gorgeous sunrise! The only time I get to see one is on the mornings I finally come down and take a sleeping pill so I can get at least a few hours sleep LOL. Your room looks wonderful...and wow on the 4 cutters and a bigger WOW on the minimal investment you have made. I don't even want to think about how much I have invested in different blades for my Townsend/Beeline. I was lucky enough to also pick up an old Fraser cutter about a year ago, but I think the adjustments are off some and not sure how to make sure they are correct when I make changes. Will have to play more I guess. Wow...270 teams...that sounds like quite the event. Our main winter sport around here are snowmobile races, but due to COVID, the races have been few and far between. Congratulations to Holly on a wonderful win! ~Robin~

A beautiful sky indeed! Love all that yummy wool. Your room is looking like a rug retreat perfect for you! Maybe once covis is gone you can have classes on your own. Janice

That sunrise was beautiful. I am never up to see one!
I was wondering how the cutters were going to work at the wrong angle. Yeah for hubby coming to the rescue. That's a lot of cutters.
Sounds like pond hockey is quite the thing out east. Sad that it couldn't be how it normally is. Hopefully next year!!!
I still on occasion buy a new hook, but always go back to my original Hartman. I have other Hartmans, but they just aren't the same. I am always so afraid of losing it...I even had my name engraved on it.
Congrats to Holly ;-)

Oh my goodness, I am Jacky from Dicky Bird's Nest. I found you now too! We share so many of the same "likes" - my wool sister.

Your organization is inspiring me. I remember getting a wishnik in seventh grade and being so excited, too. Maybe mine will turn up somewhere in my decluttering. I get my second dose on Friday morning. So grateful and hopeful I won't have bad reactions. Take care!

Oh my, what lovely photos! You found your troll doll from your childhood? Lucky you, our mother would just throw our dolls out if they started looking worn. I wasn't a big doll fan much but I once win a Pebbles doll, from the Flintstones? Yes, won it in a drawing. It was so pretty, she had the red hair and a little bone barrette! Probably would be worth a lot now but there you go!

Hello Cathy,

What a wonderful surprise for Holly. One can imagine the delight with which she will open her package of delights. Such a generous gift.

And, how tidy everything is looking in your studio. It is so much more efficient to have a designated place for everything rather than a muddle and it looks stylish too. It will surely tempt you to be in there more often.

Your project room is looking very well organized, Cathy, and how nice to have found your favorite good luck-nik to hang out there as well. That sunrise makes getting up early a good thing. Glad to read about the winner of your giveaway and saw her comment as well.
