Happy Birthday!

I know I am very grateful for September. I would love a year of Septembers, warm days, and chilly nights just perfect!

This rug is giving me fits and I am not sure why. I thought that
purple socks would be ok nope! then I didn't like the background the green. I do think I like the wool I hooked around the right shoe. I don't know at this point.

It just needs a pop.

A new hooking chair and I could not be happier! The back reclines if you want to.

A this is my very sweet, funny, amazing daughter. It is her birthday today I have no idea how she got this old, where did the time go?
We are so proud of her. Everyone has an opinion on only children. Well don't believe most of what you hear. She is successful, a great mother, and wife and very special daughter.

You made me laugh about husband no knowing I started a new rug, but Jane (no-reply) you have a very good point a great way to keep getting patterns he would have no idea lol.

Have a wonderful week!

Isn’t it funny how some rugs give you fits for no apparent reason? I’m sure you will figure it out.
Happy, happy birthday to dear daughter!

Maybe striped orange and purple socks. Happy Birthday to our sweet daughter. Janice

One good thing about hooking rugs, you can always pull the hoops that don't feel right. When I ran into that problem, I colored the pattern on paper to get an idea of how it would look.

Happy Belated Birthday to your daughter.

Hugs, Julia

Beautiful daughter. Both the soft green and the turquoise appeal to me and agree the purple sock doesn't work with the shoe...or at least that particular shade. If you want something to pop what about a sock with chartreuse green? But am sure you will see a piece of wool in your stash which does the trick.

I love this pattern - did it a couple of years ago and did the stockings in red and purple stripes - LOVE IT!

Beautiful Ashley....I love your pumpkin and shoes...so here is my 2cents...I would keep the green background And the purple sox and add a black or white stripe. I like the blue you outlined with but I think It will darken the whole thing too much....just my opinion.

Happy Birthday to your beautiful daughter! You have every right to be proud! I hope she has a wonderful day! I have a pair of witches shoes like your pattern and they have orange and black socks..or maybe orange and purple? Now I'll have to check it out! Our weather is lovely this week..cool and sunny..love it!

I stink at color planning. The Beast has a a total of 4 (although the background is actually a mix of 5 different wools)....so I am no help. Then again, I didn't really see your background as "green"?? Beautiful, relaxing, chair!!! I wish I had room for a larger chair because my big kitty and I don't fit too well in the one I have...but am stuck with it as it is all that will fit the space. Beautiful daughter...and hoping she had a great birthday. Yes, I agree what you said about only children. ~Robin~

Happy Birthday to you daughter. It does make me wonder how time seems to fly. I love your chair. I have been pondering about that whole hooking thing and once I start reverse hooking I seem to never stop. So doing my big rug, I am not letting myself unhook.
I think purple socks are a must. :) I hope you have a wonderful week.

Happy Birthday to your daughter!!! I love your rug. I need to get back at mine. Too much canning and gardening going on at the moment.
Have a great day.

Hmmm. I like the shoes and pumpkin. Imo it may just be the background that needs rethinking. What if you outlined your figures with one or two rows of that green and then made the background dark and swirly and spooky? Too many choices!
