Clock Going Backward...

I thought this was a sweet poem.
Happy Fall!

My hydrangea is as beautiful as it has ever been!

The color is starting to pop....

Most of the wood is stacked.

Not sure why this will not flip around but I have had time to hook a bit, good thing Halloween will be here before we know it.

I am NOT saying do this but I had a rug in front of my sink in the kitchen and lots of spot cleaning and snow cleaning in the winter. But still it was pretty dirty.  Sooo I put it in the washer on gentle and air dried it bingo! clean again! I would not wash it unless I was ready to have it not work and ruin the rug. Also the backing was not burlap or it really would have fallen apart.

The next town over had town wide yard sale. Not ready to yard sale all day I hit the thrift to drop something off and I scored a vintage Christmas table cloth and a fake head stone all for 1.50 and I headed home.
I weeded the gardens for the rest of the day and now I am sore but the gardens look so much better!
Friday night we headed out to see Downton the movie!
It was like watching old friends again!
****
When I was coming off Star Island Last week I had the gut feeling I had to get home. I was suppose to spend a couple of more days with friends but I felt I needed to get home. So I did and good thing husband had some health issues that included ambulances and hospital transfers and tests on tests. But at one point he had a nurse that was talking to him, he looks up at the clock in his hospital room and it is going backwards! The nurse saw it and was in complete shock!
It stopped and started going frontwards.
I had a couple of weird things happen at home when I returned from the hospital not sure why or what is going on???
He needs a few more tests but he is better.

Have a wonderful week!

I hooked that very same rug and sold it because I needed money after the divorce.

Oh my, even in the picture I can see how deep and rich your colors are already. And, wow, on the hydrangea! Never have I seen one to compare to yours. We are too far south for the colors of fall to be so grand as yours, but we love our falls, anyway. Happy last day of summer today, and happy first day of fall tomorrow!

Love your Halloween rug! Beautiful colors choices...it really pops! I would love to clip some of those hydrangeas to fill a basket with. My grandmother grew gorgeous hydrangeas down here but I've never had much luck with them. Have a great week and happy first day of fall tomorrow!

Your Haloween rug is looking so good and so does the washed rug. It looks like new.
The clock going backward sounds spooky to me but I'm sure there's a good explanation. Some electromagnetic disturbances. I'm sure if the unplugged the clock and plugged it back in, it would run normally.

I'm sorry your husband had an emergency and had to be taken to the hospital. I hope all is going well now.

The colors are starting to change but we had a fabulous three days to work outside.
Take care and enjoy the cooler fall temperatures.
Hugs, Julia

I love that sweet poem...so true on this last day of Summer. We still had very warm temps all weekend. Tomorrow on the first day of fall we will be much cooler. My hydrangea had no flowers this year but was very big and lush. Hmmm...not sure what to do about that! Our trees are starting to turn and the big fall festivals hit next weekend all through the month of October. I love this time of year. I hope your hubby is feeling much better and sometimes we do have to listen to that small voice of warning. As for the weird clocks all I can say is I know our hospital has some strange things that go on there and some say it's haunted..Ha! Not sure about that but I would guess it's more an electrical issue! Have a good week!

Hope your hubby is feeling better. That is very odd having a clock go backwards. SCARY and SPOOKY at the same time. Janice

Hope that your husband is feeling better and home again after a scary experience, especially added to with a strange clock...it’s the time of year it seems. The rug is lovely and perfect for the time of year too.

Always trust your guts! I'm thinking the clock and other weird happenings are relatives watching over your hubby...one may have been poking your gut (to get you to go home)! :-) I hope he is feeling better... *hugs*
Beautiful fall colors your way!
Glad your rug washed well...I guess I may try it one day....on a super gentle cycle. I had thought about rinsing in a tib, but then thought it would stay too wet too long...I bet the spin cycle got it mostly dry...
Hot day in the 90's today here...cool front coming through tomorrow...I can hardly wait! :-)

I have heard of other people throwing rugs in the washer with great success. I've not tried that.
Beautiful hydrangea. * love*
Hoping hubby's issues have been diagnosed. So scary.
Hugs :)

Oh wow, clocks going backwards!! You are very intuitive, glad you got home when you did. Lovely hydrangea. I collect vintage Christmas tablecloths, have way too many probably. Love your blog Cathy.
