Sweet Sounds Of Silence

The heat finally broke Friday afternoon
So I shut off the two ancient, rattling, air conditioners.

!
And Ahh sweet, sweet silence.

I was in heaven we went from 96 degrees and 87% humidity
to 70 degrees and dry as a bone!!

Because I have been hiding out I did not see that a couple of my tomatoes turned red. I had them this weekend and they were the best.

Friday we had sweet B over night and she wanted to do the sculpture walk in the next town. She just loved it.
Star Dancers.

This was used as a coffee table near two outside chairs by the lake.

A cement chair that over looked the lake.

Black Sail boat and we all agreed that this was our favorite.
If we had lots of money we would want it at our house.
It turned in the wind so pretty.

The pretty glass was reflecting the sunlight.
We saw a lot more of them them but did not get to each one.
maybe another time. But B loved it and thought we all should have sculptures in our yards.

I was helping a guy clean out books from one of his apartments.
I saw this it is in really bad shape but I took it apart and cleaned it up. It was from Fleishman's yeast. But it looks worn and wonderful on my porch.

Sat we went to a cookout at my brother in laws.
Just burgers and hot dogs but still lots of laughs.
This little one was ready for the pool or water fights what ever came first.
***

I got up early, slipped on my sneakers and headed out for a nice long walk. I have not walked in the heat. So it felt good in the early morning chill. I looked down and this rock was in the road. Just how I felt at peace and grateful.

Noting better than a vine ripen tomato! Also would like that sailboat c=vane on top of our roof too. Looks awesome and would fit in with the river life we have here. Sweet B is cute as ever. Janice

Wasn't it the most glorious three days? We have heat again on Monday too, but then humidity going back down. I have a collection of Heart Rocks that I have found over the years. I keep them in a little basket. They mean a lot to me--like God put them down on the ground just for me. :-)

That was a nice way to spend Saturday with Miss B. She's a lovely girl for sure...
I love the silence too and I never seem to get enough. Wow, your tomatoes are so advanced as compared to mine.
My tomatoes only have blossoms on them so far. I can't wait for my first ripe tomato. Everything is late because of the flood but the roses are blooming more than last year. I've been weeding at the farm and I don't have much time on the computer these days.
Stay cool and enjoy summer.
Hugs, Julia

How nice that your heat broke. What a beautiful place you live in and I love seeing all of your pictures. I have a tomato that is almost ripe. I can't wait. Our weather has been up and down.
I hope you have a lovely week.

I agree! We should all have sculptures in our yard! :-) Our humidity vanished Friday evening... it was soooooo nice to be able to go for a walk and get out to tidy up the garden...this is how the entire Summer should be! Enjoy! :-)

I love that Miss B is interested in art, she is an old soul.
Looks like you have been busy with family and friends, the best way to spend our days.

Hello, I am a first time visitor who stopped in after reading a comment on another blog, In My Dream I See, and I was happy to learn that you also live in NH as do we...in Nashua. I enjoyed reading some of your previous posts and we too are happy that the heat subsided a bit kver the weekend. The sculptures were interesting and I wondered where they are located. Please feel free to drop in for a visit to our blog and I have bookmarked yours as well.
