Maple Syrup Weekend

This was open house for all of the maple syrup producers this weekend in Maine and N.H. So off to a yummy breakfast.

So pretty when all lined up.

And wood lots and lots of wood. To make a such a yummy product.
My grandfather use to make some for the family a very different process than how they do it today.

I have been working on my stair risers. Now to decide on the background.

The wooden spoon I bought a few weeks ago all sanded down and oiled and now in use.

We missed the last snow storm and we are headed into a warmer week. Which is good we are having the whole clan here for Easter I think about 28. Easter baskets are filled the ham is bought and I have a few things left to get but after all of these years we are on top of it.
Have a wonderful week!!!

Our maple syrup festivals were a few weeks ago. It's fun to see how it's made but even more fun to sample it! I'm getting ready for our Easter too. I'm not as on top of things as you but I'll work super hard on it this week. The ham has been in the freezer. We get a ham at Christmas time from the hospital so I save it for Easter. Works for me!

Your Easter gathering of family always sounds like so much fun! I hope the weather cooperates.
My mom was always super frugal, but the one thing we always had was real maple syrup. The stuff you buy at the grocery store is disgusting!
Lovin' your stair risers!
Happy Easter :)

That sounds like a yummy breakfast. We buy maple syrup all year round. It's so delicious. When the kids were small we used to visit The Sugar Bush up river and they had tours and made maple candy on the snow for the visitors.

Wishing you and all your family a very Happy Easter. It should be a lot of work but I'm sure you'll get plenty of help.
Hugs, Julia

My great grandparents had many maple trees that a tapped and a "sugar house" where they boiled it down.
Hey--after Easter, may I have your ham bone so I can make a boiled dinner?

That is one thing I wish I could see, I love seeing all of the maple syrup. I think that is fantastic. Here in California, a bottle of Maple Syrup, costs over 20 dollars.
I love seeing your stair risers. Have a wonderful weekend.
