Thrifty Finds

I hit the thrift to drop things off from some cleaning I had done and well
I had to look around, right? I found this!

It is a tray that hooks onto the arm of your chair. I have seen them used for crafts.

I will velcro the pin cushion and bits bowl on .
I also have a large magnet I will glue down with the hooks and scissors. There are pockets on the side for books, phone,or remotes
All for 1.00.

As most of you know I work in a used book store. Friday a book came in that is about Celia Thaxter she was on Star Island in the 1800's. That is where I go for a rug hooking retreat in the fall. A sweet find!

We had a fun weekend husband's brother and his wife came for an overnight we went out to dinner and played cards.
Today we are getting snow so I am tucked in watching a movie and hooking a bit.
Have a great week.

I bought one of those arm chair things from Notforgotten farms and it has changed my life. I haven't lost needles or scissors once since I got it. Your though looks incredible. I know you will love it.
I love the cover of that book. I have it, but I paid a lot more for mine. You got a bargain. It always makes me long for spring when ever I read it. I hope you are having a nice day, in spite of the snow.

You got some lucky finds. No more looking for your tools for hooking and that book sure looks like a treasure.

It started to snow this evening but it's supposed to be sunny with clouds and 7℃ or 44.6℉. tomorrow.
Only 24 days to spring. Hang in there.
Hugs, Julia

That is a nice find, I need a lap pad and thinking of making my own.
When I am sewing it would be nice to have a surface that is higher up.

The Celia Thaxter book would catch my eye, too, especially with Childe Hassam illustrations.

What wonderful finds! I want to come and just go thrifting with you! Glad all that snow stayed on the coast. I was thinking about you when I heard that storm had hit. I hope this next one is the last of the season. I think we may be getting some too. Sheesh! I ready for Spring!

The book is charming and especially a nice find for you. I love your tray and how nice to hold everything down with strong magnets.
